Are y'all familiar with the "Imaginext" line of toys?
Luke wants an Imaginext Castle. I've found one for about $40, that almost looks too young. But the only other version I've found is the "Battle Castle" which (and for the life of me I've yet to figure out why) is selling on Amazon.com for $199.
The first is doable, if that's what he wants. The second is not.
And 2J - any advice about Star Wars Legos? He's asked for the "entire collection" - not happening...
The horses were OK. Cyn appeared to be fine. When I went out, they were laying down and I was the one that disturbed them by coming in.
*snort* So are y'all all done for this year?
So what was so horrifying about theboy's costume? Kudos to thegirl, too!
Don't use Nyquil, use DayQuil. Won't be coma inducing, but it gets the job done. You sure it's the flu? ;o)
I tell ya, my boys love the Legos. But they treat them like models. They don't play with them because they tend to fall apart. They enjoy putting them together and displaying them.
They also really like Bionicles. They can play with them (although Matthew has lately grown out of them...he still enjoys putting them together). They don't fall apart so easy.
Yes, our last show was Sunday afternoon.
Well, 2J, it IS an AEROstar!
Guess what I'm gonna make today?
VW Beetle gingerbread cookies!
BA CHEF is having a Mom's Night Out/cookie exchange.
Luke loves Legos and Bionicles. And he really likes K'nex as well.
But he ~does~ play with them. We've got parts scattered all over the house and he wonders why we can't put them back together.
You could get him the Lego Star Wars game - do you have a gaming system? It's a fun game. Easy enough for even me to play. You get to blow up lots of lego stuff.
Terrific!! Be sure to post pictures! I'm fixing to make chocolate lollipops and chocolate covered cherries to send to my family's Christmas party. Each family sends something to put in the stockings for each of the kids, babies up to high school Seniors. I have all the candy stuff, so I won't need to spend any more money, it's just my time, which I could be using to get the kitchen ready for SirKit to install the backerboard for the ceramic tile, but I'll do that tomorrow. ;o)
I found three castles. The battlecastle and the dragonmont castle in addition to the adventure castle. They look pretty cool, but I think Lego has some really neat castles too. Knight's Kingdom, Black Castle. Lego also has Batman's Arkham Asylum. The Royal King's castle is 99.99.
BlackBeltBoy loves the starwars legos! I have come to the point though, that he has to buy them with his allowance money. Some of the kits are only $10 and under, others are $20. The larger items are pretty expensive and so we do not have those yet.
We have the lego starwars video game for PC. It is BlackBeltBoy's favorite game.
He also has it for PlayStation2, which resides at grandma's house.
Jr's Nintendo 64 is currently inoperable because he took the controllers to a friend's house last summer...before that friend went off to college. I've been nagging him to get them back.
His Playstation II is currently not working. I have a guide to repair it, but haven't gotten to it yet.
He has a couple of other castles including a Little People version that was initially Jr's.
But he's pretty insistent on "Imaginext."
And yes, he would know.
sevens
Jen: "Who?" ;~)
I know who, I just don't like him. He sounds like a creepy old lounge lizard trying to sing underage girls out of their pants.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
