the series is about a particular dragon and his captain serving in the British Aerial Corps, but there are actually dragons on all sides of the conflict! The enemy dragons must have been kin to the one slain by St. George. ;o)

Today the boys leave for the RA Congress in Norman and the state-wide Pinewood Derby race! They're leaving after lunch and won't be home till tomorrow afternoon.

"I don't know if we need a generator. Except that if we don't have power, we don't eat. "
These are great little indoor stoves for emergencies or cooking at the table for a romantic dinner. I see them in ethnic grocery stores, even Harbor Freight, Hardware stores for around $20. Burns butane, about $2/can.

We have a couple of Buddy Burners that the jedis made in RAs. I actually used one a while back and made french toast on it! It worked great.
I have them stashed in my 72 hour kit now.

I keep one like this, a Svea 123, in my bug out bag.

I bought from Cabela's 32 years ago and it's still the little blowtorch.

I'm at work listening to a recording of one of the gigs we played...ultimate vanity, I guess.
In retrospect, although I can hear a lot of flubs, we weren't all that bad. Kind of makes me sad that it's not something that I can ever really go back to - we're all too spread out now. *snif*

Niiiice. It has a certain domestic flair to it, even.
I've got a Peak1 Apex for such occasions... and backpacking. It's man-portable, but not for indoor use.
