Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
So.... done for good or are you going back?
Yawn. Monday, monday.
Good morning Jen! Good morning, all!
How's the Hobbit Hole?
I had such a good weekend! And next weekend should be even better...the weather is supposed to be nice!
I'm thinking both sub work and skydiving take a special kind of crazy...
Good morning, all!
Heh...in the Get Fuzzy strip...that would have been Cleo.
My current two cats are pretty much unflappable, which is both good and bad. No freakouts, but it's hard to chase them off if they decide they want to be somewhere in particular.
Morning! Got a nice early start here. Lots of happy coding to do. I like having real work.
We had a good weekend. Lots of hanging around with people, not much actual accomplishments. Next weekend should be restful, my grandparents are visiting Sunday afternoon, but then starts Christmas stuff and that'll be hectic.
What code could I use to make those pictures in my blog just a bit smaller? The ones in previous posts are too small, but the ones in my current post are too big and messing up my side bar.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?
You guys are busy!
Does your blog use HTML tags? That is, do you post pictures using < img src="picture.jpg" > ? If so, try < img src="picture.jpb" height = 300 >. You can also use width instead of height. Play around with the value until it looks good!
A better description would likely be "obsessed".
Heh heh!!
We're starting to have some lofty goals.
1. Essential (structural) body work done by the end of winter.
2. Mechanical and electrical (motor, brake lines, wiring etc), possibly running, by September in time for the VW show.
3. Black tag removed, insured and definitely running by October (in time for the jedis to ride in it for the Boo Ha ha parade.)
After that, we can start working on the non-essential items, like exterior body work and paint, interior restoration of the seats and headliner and such...
Yes, it uses html...
Ok. I'll mess around with it...
It looks like the maximum width of the pictures needs to be about 410 pixels to fit the layout. Try adding width="410" to the image tags.
Or you could open the photos in an image editor to size them down, and re-upload them.
img src="http://render2.snapfish.com/render2/is=Yup6aQQ%7C%3Dup6%3DzqH%3AxxqUD7qRUrKxzX7BHpUUKxgXP0G%3F87KR6xqpxQQQJxo0nxlPnxv8uOc5xQQQ0QlaaGJQPJqpfVtB%3F*KUp7BHSHqqy7XH6gXP0G%7CRup6lQQ%7C/of=50,590,442"
How would I set it up?
And here it is with the width added - <img src="BIGLONGURL" width="410">
One thing to note is that when you use this method to make the image fit, it can make it look a little choppy. But it's an OK workaround if you're not able to upload it in the exact size you want.
Thank you so much! That worked great! It looks just like what I wanted.
You're a peach, I tell ya! An absolute gem!
In the really long URL, note the three numbers at the very end - "of=50,590,442"
The second two numbers are the image width and height (first one is probably the JPG quality setting). If you change the "590" to "410", you get this image:
src="http://render2.snapfish.com/render2/is=Yup6aQQ%7C%3Dup6%3DzqH%3AxxqUD7qRUrKxzX7BHpUUKxgXP0G%3F87KR6xqpxQQQJxo0nxlPnxv8uOc5xQQQ0QlaaGJQPJqpfVtB%3F*KUp7BHSHqqy7XH6gXP0G%7CRup6lQQ%7C/of=50,410,442"
This method is probably better, because the resizing is done by Snapfish's servers, rather than the browser.
Ok...yes...that seems to be working well!
Thank you!
Glad you got some more specific help with your photos! How does the blog look now?
It looks good!
The pictures I was posting from photobucket were coming out too small. So I tried to post them from York (which is basically snapfish, I think) and they came out too big. But I was able to alter the url and fix them to just right!
I tried to do the same thing with previous pictures from photobucket, but they came out choppy-looking. That's ok. I'll just fix them here on out.
I don't have a very good camera, unfortunately. It's the one my mom gave me years ago when she upgraded to a better one.
Gotta love autobody parts in the living room! At least I do.
