The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

*Sigh*

Are you sure you don't need an aloe?

...Not sure who the real bad guy will be - it will be multi layered, we know that... You can't get lots of twists and turns out of just one 'bad guy'.

I do happen to agree that baldy and Mr. Hoggit being related to Jack and happen to be the country's biggest villains is a bit far-fetched :~)

Are you watching LOST this year?

Oh yes, we've been watching "Lost"... have not been enjoying it much, though.

Actually, to me, it's not weird enough... the "Others" were much more interesting when they were just mysterious voices in the forest, IMHO.

Also, I was much more interested in Locke, Hurley, and Eko (before they killed him) than Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. If they never have any episodes centered on Jack, Kate, or Sawyer again, it wouldn't bother me any.

Agreed. The Others have lost all their appeal. They're just mean, not at all interesting I no longer care why they're there or what their story is. And I never did care for Sawyer.

Yup, we think that way to; especially with the VP being Powers Booth, he'll provide the ~ eeeevil ~ uberrightwing villian who is merely using the basically misunderstood other villians.

24 and Lost are standard water-cooler fodder in our group at work. Consensus is that both shows have had much better previous seasons. Let's hope that shows both improve rapidly.

Jack has two whole hours to prove himself this week. He'd better deliver.

The previews last week pointed to some action for the 2 hour show, let's hope they deliver.

Test posting from thenewphone. Decided I'm really not ready to commit to a smartphone and the expensive dataplan it would require, but this one is still smarter than the average phone...plus they gave me a bit of an extra discount and a month of free service. Not bad.

I just can't grow succulents--I either water 'em too much or they dry up from lack of water, trust me on this :-)

OB got The Guardian so we're watching people drown in the Alaskan waters, go figure... LSA

I've always been mildly uncomfortable with that word... it seems so... bawdy. ;~)
