Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
One of those big flatscreen type TVs would be cool but I see how you could balance the rabbit ears on something that narrow. Wonder if they make some sort of shelf thing for them, he asked questionly..
My cousin has used .22 CB caps to rid his mom's garage of possums. She didn't hear any shots, and didn't ask any questions on how he made the possums disappear.
In a rifle, .22 CBs make as little noise as an air rifle, while providing more energy.
Hmmmm.....I found a 4-can flammables storage cabinet for $235.
We're talking about 50 inches... 108 would be too big based on where the couch is going. Talon's gonna make some mega-big speakers of doom though.
And Corin you couldn't watch the superbore at our place cuz we don't even watch it for the commercials ;-)
if'n I got the cake tuh blow on a big flat screen, I'll be hookin' up the satellite...
ain't seen CBs in years... fergot all about those...
heh, don't blame you. I understand that satelite thing is pretty cool.
zimmerpatronen :)
I bought a few bricks of Aquilla Mexican CBs several years ago, but I don't think they're available any longer. But CCI has stepped in to fill the gap, at $7 per hundred:
Hey folks, can I introduce myself? I'm new to FR, I'm a crazy fan of talk radio and Lord of the Rings. You all seem like a nice bunch of folks to hang out with here. My husband is an Oracle Data Base Admin for the computer geeks among you, and the family just got back from the range where they shot off a couple hundred rounds of long rifle .22s. Seems like I'll fit right in here.
God Bless,
Diane
Hiya! Welcome to the Hobbit Hole! It's pretty quiet 'round here on the weekends, but we're a friendly bunch (even the dwarves). It's been a while since we got deep in discussion about the LOTR world - we found out we have so many other common interests that we get chatsey about everything under the sun.
We're mostly friendly folk. But watch out for the elves.
And don't worry about catchin' up or anything. If we've talked about it once, we'll talk about it again.
See whut I'm sayin'...
Welcome Diane!
Like the others said, we all got to know each other talking about LoTR 5 years ago... since then we've gotten a bit off topic :~)
Welcome! Make yourself at hole...er, at home.
Howdy! Welcome to our humble (but cozy) abode!
Also picked up KT Tunstall's CD on the way home. Her one song has been way overplayed, but I'm likin' this, just the same. Also have Eric Clapton and JJ Cale for later.
The dangers of having a radio station that plays almost nothing but stuff I really like and keeps getting me hooked on new artists all the time... Good thing they didn't have Tom Petty's latest, among others. Saved me a little money.
I am, alas, very susceptible to marketing of music and food. Which is why I stopped for popcorn shrimp at DQ after shopping. I am weak...
Ah - good for you!
