Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Oh, jeez... just what y'all need. [sigh]
Hang in there! Summer's comin'!! :-)
Where's my Global Warming? I want my Global Warming!
Can you arrange fer it to come a little faster?
Old towels for my place, too. But those stuffed dachshunds and such are definitely cuter...
Have a safe trip!
The boys gathered some firewood during the Christmas vacation, and put it outside the basement door. That way it's easy to run down and get some for the fireplace. Problem is, when it's really bitter cold, the fireplace is extremely inefficient because it pulls the air from the house right up the flue, so it doesn't really warm the place at all. But it sure is purty to watch!
SirKit found a detector that monitors both CO and Natural Gas leaks. He put it downstairs by the new furnace. We'd gotten CO monitors as soon as they were available, after Vitas Guerulaitis, a tennis star, died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
*peers through the window*
Anybody home?
I'm here. Mostly.
*sigh* Izzit Friday yet?
You're late.
You're early :)
...and you're both very quiet.
Oh, I see.
On edit...I really didn't see that there were two dogs in the picture :o
That's the idea... :~)
That's great. The new bedspread is gidget-camo all right. If it wasn't for the purple collar she could darn near disappear. Well, Homer blends pretty well too. :-)
One's linens ought not clash with your pets' fur.
It's a good match, and it's just fleece, so it'll be easy to wash. Our big comforter didn't hide hair very well, and it was hard to wash.
I just sent you a couple of e-mail links to some articles from This Old House about ice dams. Hope the info will help you with the problem in your work room!
Except for those zombie eyes!
