Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I basically stayed in bed most of the morning, but now I mostly just feel like I have a bad cold. No more fever, finally...which is glorious in and of itself. ;-) Fevers really wipe me out.
Guess it's a flu of some sort. Hope I didn't pass it on to anyone. I'm kind of thinking of skipping church tomorrow even if I do feel better, just because of that. Nasty bug, whatever it is.
Sounds wise... if you take it easy tomorrow and get better we might let you come over here monday to watch 24 :~)
We got nothing but beautiful pouring rain all day! Right as the storm passed, it started to snow, but only for about 15 minutes.
But thankfully, we didn't get any ice. The CDTS is having worship only tomorrow at 11am due to so much ice STILL in the parking lot. No Sunday school classes. We're planning on attending...
I heard from the mrsnad this evening too! They left a message on the machine while we were at Walmart. I'm glad to hear they're doing ok...
That's a goal to strive for!
Oh, I'm glad you were able to talk to g'nad, and glad to know they're doing well, considering the circumstances.
Well that's a lot more cool than finding frozen turnips. :)
It looks like we've got 4 to 5 inches....just eyeballing it. There's still stuff coming down.
Morning, good eye on the white stuff. Looks pretty nice, right now. We'll see how it is for traction for us. Gypsygirl had a good scamper in the yard. OB
Here in Perfect Village we've already had our roads scraped. :)
Morning Winmag - that's a right nice looking shooting iron. Very nice work. The 91 certainly has the right stuff. What power scope did you go with?
Same here, couple passes actually. You can see pavement in several places.
It's a German-GI 4x Hensholdt. It has a BDC calibrated for standard 7.62mm NATO ball on the right side of the turret, and a "porthole" on the left for a reticle illuminator. After years of searching, I found the little light itself, which was apparently quite rare until a stash of them came onto the market.
They're saying chance of freezing drizzle this afternoon.
Very nice indeed; didn't even know they had illuminated reticles. hmmm. black rifles, gotta luv 'em. Someday, perhaps. That set-up would be quite a hit at the next shoot-moot. :-)
Either freezing drizzle or ice pellets, what a choice...
Will 'da Bear' please pick-up the white winterwatch courtesy phone?
TheFrontYard:
It's a winter wonderland :~)
Good morning!
Morning!
~sip~
Naybers across the street have already cleared their driveways and sidewalks. I think I'll just pop in another movie. :)
They're fanatics.
