That's pretty cool.
Weatherdudes are hedging around here. Maybe rain. Maybe snow. Might or might not freeze. 20% chance of puppies, 20% chance of kittens. 50/50 chance of no weather happening at all. Winds are expected to be "phphpht".
Better than the realllllly happy guy on the local Fox channel...least I *think* it was the local Fox affiliate.

I don't think he's a real weather man... He was describing area rain showers on the radar as 'blobs'.

I'm okay...heat's holding up, pipes haven't frozen (knock on wood.) driveway's iced up but I can get in and out.
I've been baking. First a Devils Food cake, but Joshua didn't like it so what the heck...I baked a plain yellow cake for him with vanilla frosting.
I swear, OT...it looks like complete desolation out there...everything is covered with ice. The step up into my shop is gone...it's level with the ice now.
I got the great idea to feed the birds...got about a couple of hundred starlings show up and the feed is gone but the ice is covered in bird poo.
Hey, sir...can you recommend a good emergency radio? One that can play am/fm and weather? Not the kind that only has earphones...
Well, I don't probably think it's an emergency yet, if their power is down the phone lines may be down too, and it might be a little while before they get to everyone. If they were within range I'd prolly stop by, but I'd assume they can get what they need, the g'nads are resourceful folk. But that's my gut feeling, you guys are closer and have seen more coverage of what's going on out there.
OB just tried again, got an all-circuits-busy message on the land line, and the cell phone number doesn't go through. Probably the cell towers are either down or iced up....Southwest Missouri got hit really, really hard by this ice storm. LSA

I just went online to check my bank balance. They had a special message in HUGH red letters saying customer service was delayed opening due to inclement weather?!?!?!?!
WHAT INCLEMENT WEATHER??? The skies are clear. Sure it's colder, but it only got down to the mid 20s last night.
