Looks like these aren't any good if you have checked baggage, though, no? And since John decided at the last minute that they want us to play music, I *have* to have checked stuff since I'll be bringing the mandolin. And bringing back a fiddle AND a mandolin. Ungh.

Southwest has a first come first serve seating. Whenever I've checked in online, I've gotten A - the first boarding group which gets the best choice of seats. Even when I get the B group, I can still get a window seat if I show up at the airport to line up at the gate early enough. If you wait until you're the C group, chances are that the three of you won't be able to get seats together.

Does that apply even with luggage, though?

Does your luggage have to sit together?

Heh...no. But when I called my sister-in-law to offer to check them in, she said she was under the impression you couldn't use on-line check-in if you had any checked baggage.

Yes, that applies even if you're checking luggage. You just go to the desk to check your luggage and tell the service rep that you already have your boarding pass. Of course they can see that you've already checked in and they just confirm that you have it.

ROTFL!! Oh that's priceless!

Honestly, I'm amazed at the HooHa surrounding the fact that Mitt's a Mormon. At least the Mormon's don't advocate killing folks if they don't want to convert! Sheesh!

Pretty! We haven't had much snow at all this year. David was kinda disappointed there was just a dusting while he was here.

Just Dang! I'm sure I must have seen her in lots of parts, but I only really every remember her as Lily Munster. She wore that part well.

Yeah, I read on the thread that she was in The Ten Commandments, but after reading the thread, it reminded me she was also in McLintock, which I DO remember! The 'falling down the stairs drunk' scene was hilarious in that movie!

Evenin'.

Greetings from easy, breezy, beautiful
Click for Lawton, Oklahoma Forecast

Was a heck of a day getting here. Don't think I'm going to make it up Tulsa way. Mebbe next trip.

I was already underway with American called the house and said my flight was cancelled. So Big'ol knew before I did (I never turn my cell on unless I'm using it and that's almost never). So they put me on a flight from Reagan Nat'l. They even gave me a voucher for the taxi. Taxi Driver says, "Voucher pay your fare, but you pay tip." Oh great. I had exactly $30 bucks with me and I was hungry. I had no time to get down there so Taxi Driver says, with a laugh, "Looks like I fly for you." He got me to Reagan Nat'l in ~40~ minutes. It was terrifying. Omigoodness. DC traffic, 75 mph, and *drifting* into different lanes.

Glad to be alive. Will go tour Lawton in a bit and mebbe find a good Mex restaurant.

I've never flown Southwest, but as I recall, they don't do arranged seating.

Nope. It's a cattle call. Do like OT says and check in online. You don't even have to print the boarding passes - just check in. That's what I do when I have to fly SW. (*shudder*) Then when you go in to the counter your boarding group is reserved and you can get your boarding pass and check the bags.

My Mom used to fly SW all the time. And she would literally get up at midnight to do the online check in. Had to get that "A"!
