Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
If it was the weekend and I didn't have any longish-distance travel to do in the next few days, I'd say bring it on...
Ugh. I know I'm going to forget something on this trip. Hopefully I can manage to avoid it being anything major.
I felt bad for OT...the weekend she visited was the weekend I got the tires...the first large purchase on the Beetle...and we spent most of our time at home in the shop! She had to freep from the old lousy iMac out in the shop!
She was pretty understanding, however.
At least you don't have to be a bridesmaid this time. Have you met this future sister yet?
They were here briefly when everyone else came in April. Remember, they showed up here late and I was all nervous about it? And then, although I'd tidied up, they went out and bought cleaning stuff and did stuff like using a lint roller on all the furniture because there was (*gasp*) pet hair on it?
Heh...I'm being negative. Actually she's pretty nice. And yes, I've met her, quickly.
Well... again... I gots bupkis.
It did snow, but just a dusting. Doesn't even cover the grass. Road appears to be bare and wet. Though... it might be icy out there. We'll see.
[sip]
No power problems here. The wind was only blustery for a few hours yesterday, then calmed for the evening.
Oh yeah... that was really weird behavior. There's cat hair on our curtains but if someone came into my house and started using a lint roller on it, I'd get really snippy.
I have hopes of clearing the latest mound of dishes shortly, I have about two more dish drainer's worth to do and I'll be caught up.
Not nearly as much snow here in Olympia as we had at the compound. Guess we got lucky there...or something.
Roads were wet, but nothing exciting. ;-)
Considering how cold it's supposed to be, though, it may be a skating rink out there later.
I have a lot of straightening up to do tonight. Oh well. I'm going to be too worked up to sleep well anyway, I'd guess.
At least it's a direct flight. And since we're flying Southwest, I should be able to grab seats by my brother and sister-in-law even though we didn't get tickets at the same time - we're on the same flight. I've never flown Southwest, but as I recall, they don't do arranged seating.
Eeek!! A Mac!
Print yer tickets 24 hours before so you can get in the A boarding group.
I don't have tickets...just the confirmation number and that.
You should still be able to go on and print your boarding pass. Right OT?
Ha!
Ah...I didn't know about that. Thanks for the tip.
Except...it's now less than 24 hours. Guess I can still at least fill it in.
Looking up at the trees in the yard :~)
The scotch broom is almost pretty when it's got snow on it :~)
Bay and Pony heading out... (Cyn never left the barn ;~D)
It is alternately sunny and blue and then overcast and more snow will come down.
At the bottom of this picture is the foot ice ball Bay hucked at me, still in mid-air ;~)
Snow falling on ponies...
Bay says "OK - this is turning into real snow now, I'm going back in"
Red squirrel praying for more breakfast... ;~)
Ping to our snow pictures...
