The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Morning OT, looks like we missed sending farewells, have a safe trip, and Merry Christmas.

Morning - LSA and I watched 'Blade Runner' last nite, the director's cut was on sale last month. A bit different from the theatrical release. Dang, Harrison Ford was young then.

I seem to remember that the Director's Cut of Blade Runner didn't have the voice over; am I correct? I prefer the voice over. It explains things much better, and also gives it a very film noir flavor.

Yeah, Harrison Ford looked VEY young there. It's funny to see him in American Graffiti now; he looks like a teenager!

That's correct, no-voice over, a few different scenes and different ending. We've got both, I got the VHS of Blade Runner quite a few years ago for LSA.

Good morning...

Homer is in his Christmas red shirt :~)

Today we will do the traditional cleaning and organizing of the barn...

I made it.

They killed my ever-faithful luggage, though. :(

They must have gotten it caught in a door somewhere...the frame is all bent up and it won't latch on one side.

Snazzy...

I stopped at Fred Meyer on the way home from church. They only had one bag of ribbons left that I could see, and they're all red. But if you want some, I can run some over in a bit!

First to do some tidying and get something to eat...

Very Festive, I'm sure Homer appreciates it. He does look good in red.

If there isn't a piece of luggage lying around thehouse, I guess I'm going luggage shopping on Tuesday or Wednesday.

The kitties here are warm.

Homer looks so festive! Hope the shirt is doing the trick for him!

We just got back from singing at 4:30 Mass. Paul is frying bacon for BLT's. I finished wrapping all but one gift before I left for Mass; gotta be a personal best with Christmas gifts! I'm usually wrapping them before we head off for Midnight Mass. Tonight, I'll spend that time making homemade candy instead!

Wishing y'all a Merry Christmas! Have a great time at the beach!

But did you get the niece a stuffed animal?

*snort* Reminds me of a Tom Paxton song, "Thank you, Republic Airlines, For Breaking the Neck of My Guitar".

Yeah...they had some cute ones! Got her a little dog, and also one of those ring toys, where you stack rings on a post.

At least I didn't lose any stuff. I kinda felt like I was in a luggage ad where the stuff comes out of baggage claim a piece at a time.

Heh, the add I always remember was the gorilla throwing around a Samsonite(?) suitcase. Not losing anything is amazing.

Sound like fun gifts. So you're going there after the Beach House, tomorrow? Are you going to Mass this evening?
