Your PC should have come with a burning program like Nero. No mp3's will not play on a cd player unless it is an mp3 player. Your program will convert the mp3s

Download the free iTunes for Windows software from Apple. It can easily import your MP3s and burn CDs.

What program are you burning with?

Generaly you should burn an "audio cd" under the burn choice settings, to get an audio cd that plays in a standard audio cd player.

I don't know much about windows media player, but all burner programs have most of these things in common.

If you choose in your program to burn an audio CD then the MP3 files will be converted automatically. (To much larger files) These would play exactly as a store bought CD. The trick is not to choose to burn an MP3 music disc. That would not play in many home audio CD players. It would only play in players made to play Mp3 files. Also only use a CD-R disc. Do not use rewritable disc's.

I believe the format you need is 'CDA'.
