Just a typical day in Baja Carolina.
Surprisingly enough, drinking seems to have been a factor here.

Metts said Johnson's wife and several friends told police that Johnson then said: "You can't shoot me, I'm invisible." WTFIIWSC ping.

Remind me to never try the " "You can't shoot me, I'm invisible." line.

It's obviously the fault of NASCAR.

Two guys (with three names each), beer, a bet over a college football game, and a loaded hunting rifle. Talk about a recipe for trouble...

When I was a kid, in science class we learned that a human being was worth about $7.50. That was the value of the chemicals in one of us.
Looks like it's up to twenty bucks now. Must be inflation.

Let's see. . . . Betting on a football game, drinking beer, deer hunting, dressed in camo, NASCAR. . . . I think these guys rate at least a 9.7 on the Redneck Scale.
I took points off for the vehicle not being a pickup, but I put some back on for it being a car that was discontinued ten years ago.

Hi All- I've never seen so many stereotypes jammed into a single newspaper account in my life. What a classic!

Y'know,
The State probably reported this as "Welshing Clemson Fan Backs Out On Bet, Gets Just Desserts." Whatever the newspaper is up in Clemson probably headlined it as "Clemson Fan Shot In Cold Blood Over Bet: Probably Spurrier's Fault."
God, I miss South Carolina.
