This is a great win for one of the "little guys" in NCAA sports. The third smallest College/University in NCAA Div 1 Football. Has had an amazing season this year led by an amazingly wonderful coach.

It's NOT Florida State; It's NOT Virginia Tech; It's NOT The University of Miami; It's NOT the University of Maryland; It's NOT Boston College.

It IS the Wake Forest Demon Deacons going to the ACC Champtionship Game with Georgia Tech (who lost today) and to a Bowl, no doubt, after that game - no matter what its result may be (but am pulling for another amazing victory!)

Way to go, DEACS!

Pretty good week in college football:

-- The Aggies whooped (!!) t.u.;
-- USC beat ND;
-- WF is going to the ACC game;

All in all, not bad. Hopefully, the Aggies will get a Holiday Bowl bid.

I was at the game this afternoon, and I'm back in Winston-Salem now. The quad here at WFU is absolutely white with toilet paper, as is the tradition, and the reality that we have just won the ACC Championship hasn't even sunk in yet.

Go Deacs! I'll be in Miami next month, that's for sure.
