I thought I'd post this and see what general Freeper reaction was.

Comments or opinions - anyone?

Zamboni.

I bet if the vehicle was called a "mobile ice resurfacing unit", you wouldn't care what the Freepers thought about it.

Zamboni.

Come on... admit it... if you had access to a Zamboni, you'd do the same thing!

They may have been inspired by the movie about a small town in Alaska, dominated by pond hockey, hosting the New York Rangers. I just saw it on cable, but forgot the name of the town and the movie. Senior moments come each day.

OMG. If I saw that I would still be laughing. Just the idea of seeing a zamboni in the Burger King drive-thru is cracking me up!

I have been to that ice rink and burger king many times. If I was the zamboni driver, I am sure I would have tried the quick trip also. It can't be much for than .5 to .75 miles. The bad thing is everything is right off the freeway and there is a fairly large amount of traffic, but 12:30 it should have been pretty dead. The ice rink is located in a discount strip mall. To get to the burger king one has to exit the mall parking lot and then go through one light controlled intersection.

Man how I miss Boise. My bother and I used to stop at that gas station / burger king whenever we left Boise on the drive to our home in Mountain Home. When I go home for Chirstmas I will look upon the ice rink and burger king and smile
