I don't know, you'll have to ask nothometoday. I haven't used a lay away in a coon's age. When we did, it was so the kids wouldn't find their presents and blow the whole Santa thing outta the water.
We, my brothers and sisters and I would tear the house up when mom and pop left looking for presents. I don't think kids have changed, they still look for presents.
