Quotes from the perp: "If you let the dog go I'll shoot it" "Let it go, that shit's on camera, it's gonna be your fault" "and I'm gonna shoot everything" "I got one gun with thirteen shots"

The dog was released and the perp moved the gun - barely - and how ever many cops there were opened up. Consider how tense the situation was and how the instant one fired, everyone reacted. Their aim wasn't perfect and the dog entered the kill zone in that instant. A tragedy, but that's why they send in a dog and not a rookie officer. Should the cops have waited to see if the perp made good on his thirteen shot, gonna shoot everything threat? No, the one who screwed up bigtime was the perp. And notice how the bad guys know video will make the cops look bad. The threat didn't work but enough of these incidents and the cops will start walking away.

Y'know .. if we continue to post these youtube video's (and simular .. ), it wouldn't take much to send some folks into anarchy.

If I (or I'm willing to wager, ANY parent) was ever caught at the "wrong/right" time .. I'd be doing serious jail time ...

It's one thing to be able to capture candid shots of wrong doing ... but a continual diet of police wrong doing can only bring about the further breakdown of any respect for authority.

I haven't seen our home page in centuries, but I think JimRob composed something on the line of;

The point is ... we have taken the planes diving into the WTC and live beheadings (our true and real enemies) and replace them with how rotten we must really be (WE become the enemy).

I know it takes manpower but sometimes I wonder why they just don't station a couple cops to guard the guy and keep him from doing anything until he collapses from exhaustion? Maybe I'm missing something that makes that unreasonable.

I think the reprobate kept his word and shot the dog. He got one shot off at the police after they opened up and then he aimed and fired at the dog as the dog closed in. It looks like he got off two shots at the dog at close range before he was shot down. What a fool.
