John Edwards buys Playstation 3 from Wal-Mart after bashing it posted at 6:41 pm on November 16, 2006 by Ian Send to a Friend | regular view
Former Senator and failed candidate for Vice-President John Edwards obtained the new video game system Playstation 3 from his local Wal-Mart today:
Just like the millions of Americans who turn to their neighborhood Wal-Mart for their holiday shopping needs, Wal-Mart announced today that former Sen. John Edwards is seeking to be one of the first to get a Sony PlayStation 3, one of the most coveted holiday gift items this Christmas season.
Last summer Edwards spoke at a Wake Up Wal-Mart bashing the retail giant:
We want every single consumer in America, every person in America, to know that if they walk into a Wal-Mart, that first of all their tax dollars are subsidizing Wal-Mart employees. Their tax dollars are helping provide health care for Wal-Mart employees, because Wal-Marts not doing it. Their tax dollars are going to provide housing and food stamps for Wal-Mart employees, Mr. Edwards told a crowd of 400 at Hill House. What is wrong with this picture?
Edwards knocking of Wal-Mart isnt just a one-time thing, but a hobby for him. In fact, just yesterday he was at another Wake Up Wal-Mart event, again bashing the company.
Townhalls Mary Katharine Ham has a picture of Edwards at an August Wake Up Wal-Mart event.

So, does he have one or not?
Uh the so called press release is dated 2004?
Just saw that too. :~)
I read Schweizer's book earlier this year.
It should be mandatory reading for high-school kids. And plenty of adults.
But I'd be cautious about forcing it on a liberal, unless they sign
some sort of waiver absolving you of any damage they might incur
by reading it.
The chapters on Noam Chomsky and Ralph Nader might cause a liberal's
head to explode.
I'd be suprised if you could find it in the U. Wisconsin library system.

Even Presidential Candidates Agree: Wal-Mart is the Best Place to Shop for
Hot Electronics Items this Christmas Season
Okay, I finnaly found it.
There are two Americas - one with rich hypocrites like this ambulance chaser, and one with the rest of us, who like to shop for less, and don't give a hoot about crusades against success.
I just caught it too..........
It's been spoofed.
Looks to me like an old letter head was pasted on top of a phony press release. The date in the text is recent.
Definitely bogus.
Yup.
I think Yahoo Biz is going to wind up with a bit of egg on it's face.........
Nope. Doesn't pass the test
"I'd be suprised if you could find it in the U. Wisconsin library system."
Actually, it's the County-wide system that I use. And amazingly, for being a solid blue county (Dane) with little dots of red (that would be me and my family) I can get all sorts of books by Conservative authors.
And there's NEVER a wait for them either, LOL!
"Oh, wait. He's part of the ruling class."
Give the guy a break, I bet he feels pretty guilty about it.

Silky Pony puts the "R" in "stupid."
I don't believe for one minute this man goes into ANY store, much less WM.
Surely he has errand boys to do his shopping and things of that nature.
