Let us therefore strive to enter that rest.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction. . . . For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”—“The kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”—“Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you.”—Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure. . . . For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.—So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
Whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.—The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

OH LORD, when anxieties mount and trouble seems everywhere, lead me in the paths of righteousness for your Name’s sake.
Help me to stand in that faith you have given and help me to rest in confident trust of You.
I will follow you.
