She Loves You So, our King, and Your Word is her Treasured Delight. Be Pleased, our Father of Grace, to Ease her Discomfort and Pain. May Thy Mercies Fall Upon her as a Gentle Spring Rain. Enfold her with Thy Kindnesses, Great Shepherd-King. Through Thy Limitless Grace and Love, we Pray for Thy Beloved Child, amen.
Ooh, I lit you a candle earlier and forgot to tell you! So sorry. Too many things going on and can't catch my breath.

Thank you so much for the call to prayer for my friend Pat!
That's what we're here for!
I was just meditating this morning on the story of the Feeding of the Five Thousand. Oddly, it is told in all four Gospels (it is rare that specific stories are told in all four accounts). I came away with this sure knowledge:
Give what you have to Jesus.
The important thing is not who you are (you may be only a boy) or what you have on hand (it may be only enough for one person's lunch). It doesn't matter how big the need is or what hour of the day, or how impossible the situation appears. Whatever it is that you have bring it to Jesus, because He wants you to feed people on His behalf. Even our pain, if that is all that we have, can be used to "feed the multitude" when Christ raises it up with thanksgiving to God the Father as our High Priest and Intercessor. With the blessing of God upon your offering miracles occur.
I posted all four accounts of the five loaves and two fish on my homepage if anyone is interested in revisiting this teaching from the Word.
May our Lord and Christ be gracious unto Pat and heal her quickly. May He bring comfort and calm to all who know and attend her through this trial. I thank God in Christ Pat has our A-G for a friend!
Beautiful points!
Prayer for the New Year
Dear Father,
Here we are again at the dawn of a New Year,
a time of beginnings.
Lord, I know not how many days lie before me,
or even if I will live past the start,
when the clock strikes midnight.
So much before us is uncertain,
uncharted,
in your most capable hands.
Yet, as this old year draws to its close,
I pray
that whatever time lies in front of me,
whatever days lay before me,
may I dedicate them anew to you,
lover of my soul,
King of creation,
my true goal
my God,
Abba,
Father.
Teach me, as each moment dawns anew,
to look at the time at hand,
with eyes that see as you would see,
to see the child beloved to you
who wears an undesirable face,
to see the soul deserving of my love
in the eyes of my enemy.
Let me see the time that can be consecrated to you,
to spread your peace,
where once I would have walked away,
to reach out
where once I would have clenched my fist,
to see opportunity
where once I would have seen obstacle.
Most of all,
let the fire of your love
burn so brightly in me,
that all that is dross in my soul
melts away,
that all that separates me from you
passes into ash, to be blown away.
In the morning,
be my first thought,
in evening, my last consideration.
May all my resolutions this year
resolve into the one:
To do what you would want me to do,
how you would want me to do,
when you would want me to do it,
not by my might,
but through the power of your Spirit,
now and forever,
Amen
While He calls you away to quiet rest we pray that our bond of love in Jesus Christ our Savior, through the seal of His Holy Spirit continues to knit our hearts in love and our prayers together as fragrant smoke arising from the many as one column, amen.

Amen to that gorgeous offering. I praise our Glorious Father for the gifts He has given thee.
Amen to a beautiful prayer, Knitting a Conundrum. Have a happy and blessed New Year!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
We have such wonderful prayer "composers" on FR who selflessly share their gifts with us. I am grateful that they take the time to encourage us to look at things from Your point of view. Please bless them in special ways in this New Year.
I pray this will glorify the LORD JESUS.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
..........
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
.........
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
...........
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
........
Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
..........
" What Is Death? Death is an ugly beast. It comes at us like a fictional dragon with snorting nostrils and blazing breath, intent on devouring us. The Bible speaks of it as the last enemy Christ will destroy (1 Corinthians 15:26). There is no use trying to gloss over its awfulness and unnaturalness. After all, God didn't create man and woman to wear out and be thrown away like broken toys. God made us special....."

Brothers and Sisters in our LORD,
I, who have been so close to death before, and was miraculously healed by our Incomparable and Mighty God, have been troubled by the shame and mockery in death.
The LORD confirms again to me His Word and Truth that Jesus has defeated all enemies and they are under His feet.
When I was so sick before, I knew no terror when I was dying.
There is none for the believer.
The deceiver of all men would have us be troubled, like Bunyan's Christian as he crossed the River with Hopeful at the end of their journey.
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/bunyan/pilgrim.v.x.html
So, I offer a more excellent sacrifice of Faith to our GOD who Redeems and fails not.
There is an opressive spirit of death in the world which will intensify, but we are called to Testify of the Truth which is in Christ, of Life and Light, and to encourage each other, as you do, as did Hopeful encourage Christian.
Father, I Thank You for your tender Mercies which are new every morning.
Great is Your Faithfulness.
I thank You for all the Testimonies of your Great Grace which we all have from Your Loving Hand.
I pray that you will likewise encourage all those that are sick, or who have loved ones that are ill.
Give your strength again and again.
You are forever Triumphant Precious Jesus.
At the end of days, YOU ARE THERE.
We want to see Jesus.
I thank you for the way in which you will lead us today.
In the Name of Him who Loved us,
Amen.

The morning purples all the sky,
The air with praises rings,
Defeated hell stands sullen by,
The world exulting sings.
Refrain
Glory to God! our glad lips cry;
All praise and worship be
On earth, in heaven, to God most high,
For Christs great victory,
For Christs great victory.
While He, the King all strong to save,
Rends the dark doors away,
And through the breaches of the grave,
Strides forth into the day.
Refrain
Deaths captive, in his gloomy prison,
Fast fettered He has lain,
But He has mastered death, is risen,
And death now wears the chain.
Refrain
The shining angels cry, Away
With grief; no spices bring;
Not tears, but songs, this joyful day,
Should greet the rising King!
Refrain
That Thou our Paschal Lamb mayst be,
And endless joy begin.
Jesus, Deliverer, set us free
From the dread death of sin.

I am such a dip.....I forgot to say......
My shoulder is so much better. I don't even need pain reliever, and I was using Tylenol and Ibuprofen both the last 2 days.
Thank you for all your prayers, and we thank Him for his great love, patient with dips.
gratefully,
