Luk 24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they were going: and he made as though he would go further.
Luk 24:29 And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them.
Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking it he gave to them.
Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
Abide with me from morn to eve,
For without Thee I cannot live;
Abide with me when night is nigh,
For without Thee I cannot die.

Oh Lord, may we be abiding in you and you in us. Give us rest and peace tonight.
Thank you for your great Kindness toward us, and your Mighty Salvation.
Words fail.
Let me abide.
Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
...........
Joh 15:7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
.........
Joh 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
.........
1Jo 4:13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
Renew and Refresh and Restore us by your Holy Spirit while we sleep Lord.
Help those who must work tonight.
Keep a watch over our Nation.
Expose works of darkness.
Let your Kingdom come and your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever, Amen.

Gen 16:13 So she named the LORD who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said, "Have I really seen here the One who sees me?"
Ever living God, with whom we have to do, all things are open and visible to your eyes.
Heb 4:13 There is nothing that can be hid from God; everything in all creation is exposed and lies open before his eyes. And it is to him that we must all give an account of ourselves.
You see our trouble. You see the past, present and future. You have seen us walk with you. You see our Redemption.
Pro 5:21 For a man's ways are before the LORD's eyes, and He considers all his paths.
Pro 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good.
2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His.....
We need you to see us Lord, and to search us and to know us. I pray that you will see the Blood of the Precious Lamb when you look upon me. I thank you that judgement has passed over me because of His Blood upon the door posts of my heart.
Psa 139:1 LORD, you have examined me and you know me.
Psa 139:2 You know everything I do; from far away you understand all my thoughts.
Psa 139:3 You see me, whether I am working or resting; you know all my actions.
..........
Psa 139:5 You are all around me on every side; you protect me with your power.
.........
Psa 139:23 Examine me, O God, and know my mind; test me, and discover my thoughts.
Psa 139:24 Find out if there is any evil in me and guide me in the everlasting way.
Guide and lead us always in the Way Everlasting, our Jesus. You are our Narrow Gate and Straight Path.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord El Ro iy, who sees me and Loves me.
Look upon those who are in difficulty today and show them that Well of Living Water, that Rock that follows us in the wilderness, providing life-giving streams.
For your Name's sake.

O Lord,
how the keening song
of those who suffer
must rise to heaven,
day after sad day,
the cry of the bereft,
the cry of the oppressed,
the cry of the despairing,
the cry of pain.
Lord, have mercy!
Lord,
open our eyes to see
the suffering all around us,
soften our hearts
that we do not tune that misery out,
that we may be
the hands of your mercy,
the instruments of your peace,
the tools of your care.
Lord,
we pray
for those wailing at the death of their children, their parents, their beloved, their friends,
for the mothers who have taken the life of their unborn child,
for those who have seen their children off to fight in the endless stream of conflicts,
then welcome back a coffin,
have mercy.
Lord,
teach us to see
the results of our anger,
the results of our selfishness
the results of our sin
that put the lives of your children at risk
who see humanity as commodity,
who think that grief is worth the cost.
Lord,
we pray
for those who do not know where their next meal is,
for those who scrabble a living on the casts off of the more fortunate,
for those twisted with the desire for more
and turn a blind eye to those who are oppressed by their need,
for those who are twisted by lack,
and those who are crippled by too much,
Lord have mercy.
Lord,
teach us to see the want,
spiritual, physical, mental
in our fellow man,
that we may reach out and help,
help us to live lives
that let others live,
teach us to share
instead of hoard,
teach us to see with your eyes.
Lord,
we pray for those abandoned,
those abandoned to death by neglect,
those abandoned to death by the hand of others,
those abandoned because of inconvenience,
those put to death
because they were dying,
or an embarrassment,
or an encumbrance,
street children,
the aged,
the unborn,
the ugly,
the damaged.
Lord have mercy!
Lord, teach us
that life is your gift,
both to the living one,
and those who touch his life,
as healers,
as helpers,
as beloved,
as friend,
as parent.
Teach us to cherish
those who cross our paths,
teach us to see even the undesirables,
the inconvenient ones
with your eyes,
to reach out with your hands,
to be your touch in their lives,
this day, and always,
Amen.

I am so undone today and in despair. My husband has not been able to get out from under the spell of a very controlling preacher; the guy ran me off by bashing me repeatedly from the pulpit (about attending his and his wife's classes). I am so unwell and so stressed. My husband finally left that church (well after I did) and has followed me to my new one and keeps pulling passive-aggressive things on me to apparently get back at me for finally offering him a divorce if he didn't quit bending over and grabbling his ankles for that horrible man (excuse me but I don't know much better way to describe the relationship between him and that preacher). Oh, there wasn't that kind of physical relationship, but it has been the nearest thing to a "crush" as I can imagine. The guy has apparently been punishing my husband ever since he left there by completely ignoring him. It has apparently been a matter in his mind of him punishing my husband for choosing ME over HIM. I was, for all intents and purposes, given the choice of either getting back into their classes with perfect attendance, or else losing my husband of 42 yrs. (My husband was one of his deacons for four years, gave a lot of time and money to that man.) Please pray for us, I'm afraid I haven't acted very nicely today. I got a bad report from my doctor last week, and this stress is just killing me.
Prayers for you and your family, FRiend...may God send his angels to keep you and yours safe.
Amen and AMEN!! What a powerful prayer Knitting!!!Ironically , this is what God has been teaching me over the past three weeks of suffering so with Shingles. It was like a wakeup call to me. I now know that I need to reach out to the suffering and grieving in a new way. I will pray your prayer often , and now from the HEART...
Oh and by the way, our 15 year old broke out in Chickenpox today....she got them from my shingles.....
Polly
It's always something...(one of those do I laugh or cry with you moments!)
Also, now is your First Test on your resolution of compassion for the suffering.....!!!
Lord, I ask you to increase our Faith as we read your Word.
Nothing is truer, or stronger, more active or sharper, cutting to the very heart of our thoughts and intentions.
Let there be praise for you.
Even though our hearts should fail for weariness, or fear or dullness, let us continue to praise you because you never change, and are Worthy.
The very stones would cry out if we didn't.
There will be a Blessing in coming to you and waiting while the Spirit rises up in us and gives you Glory.
Revive us again Oh Lord.
Psa 113:1
Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!
Psa 113:2
Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
Psa 113:3
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised!
Psa 113:4
The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens!
Psa 113:5
Who is like the Lord our God,
who is seated on high,
Psa 113:6
who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
Psa 113:7
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
Psa 113:8
to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
Psa 113:9
He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!

Jesus, help me, I am weary,
Let me hold Thy hand in mine;
For the stream of living water,
In a thirsty land I pine;
O my Father, do not leave me,
In this dark and dreadful hour,
Fold me in Thy arms of mercy,
Keep me from the tempters powr.
Jesus, help me, I am fainting,
Neath the deserts burning sky;
Lead to pastures cool and fragrant,
There my every want supply;
Shade me with Thy wings eternal,
Let me feel Thee ever near;
Thou canst whisper words of comfort,
Thou canst dry the falling tear.
Jesus, help me, I am sinking,
In the cold and chilly wave;
Give me strength, my faith increasing,
Thou alone hast power to save.
Let my soul be filled with rapture,
Let my hope be stayed in Thee,
Let me bear my cross with patience,
Till I sleep and wake with Thee.
God, grant us the serenity
To accept the things we cannot change ...
Courage to change the things we can ...
And wisdom to know the difference.
You have seen me Tossing and Turning through the Night.
You have Collected all my Tears in your Bottle.
You have Recorded Each One in Your Book. (Ps.56:8)
O God my Strength!
I will Sing Your Praises,
for You are my Place of Safety. (Ps.59:9)
We Worship and Adore You, our Magnificent Lord of Hosts. O God Who Keeps Every Promise, and Stills Every Storm, we Stand on Your Word and Your Loving Grace. Rescue us, our God, All of us who Need Thy Gracious Touch. Reach Down, O Jehovah our Kind Lord, and Strengthen and Comfort Your Lambs.
We Love You, O Father our King, Lord of Lovingkindness and Grace. In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.
