Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3

Fresh from the throne of glory,
Bright in its crystal gleam,
Bursts out the living fountain,
Swells on the living stream;
Blessèd river, let me ever
Feast my eyes on thee;
Blessèd river, let me ever
Feast my eyes on thee.
Stream full of life and gladness,
Spring of all health and peace,
No harps by thee hang silent,
Nor happy voices cease;
Tranquil river, let me ever
Sit and sing by thee;
Tranquil river, let me ever
Sit and sing by thee.
River of God, I greet thee,
Not now afar, but near,
My soul to Thy still water
Hastes in its thirstings here;
Holy river, let me ever
Drink of only thee;
Holy river, let me ever
Drink of only thee.
—Horatius Bonar, 1859
LORD, in this heat and drought, how timely to think of the river of Grace that flows from your throne. How that stream will cleanse and heal and renew all it touches in that glad day.
Ever pour the Living Water of your Word into our hearts, to cleanse and heal and renew.
Rev 22:1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
Rev 22:2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.
Rev 22:4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
Rev 22:5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Rev 22:6 And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”
Rev 22:7 “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
Rev 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
Rev 22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

LORD Jesus, I confess that you are very God and very man.
You are the second person of the Triune God.
You are GOD.
You are the ONLY begotten Son, eternally with the Father.
All thing were created through You, The Word of God.
In you is life, and that Abundant Life.
I thank you for your great Love and Sacrifice at the Cross, for me and for all who will believe and trust in you for Salvation.
I thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit of Truth.
I look for your return and reign upon the earth.
You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Blessèd Jesus, at Thy Word
We are gathered all to hear Thee;
Let our hearts and souls be stirred
Now to seek and love and fear Thee,
By Thy teachings sweet and holy,
Drawn from earth to love Thee solely.
All our knowledge, sense and sight
Lie in deepest darkness shrouded,
Til Thy Spirit breaks our night
With the beams of truth unclouded.
Thou alone to God canst win us;
Thou must work all good within us.
Glorious Lord, Thyself impart!
Light of light, from God proceeding,
Open Thou our ears and heart;
Help us by Thy Spirits pleading;
Hear the cry Thy people raises;
Hear and bless our prayers and praises.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
Praise to Thee and adoration!
Grant that we Thy Word may trust
And obtain true consolation
While we here below must wander,
Till we sing Thy praises yonder.

All Things are Thine {Lyrics: John G. Whittier. Composer: Samuel Webbe, Sr., 1782.}
All things are Thine; no gift have we,
Lord of all gifts, to offer Thee:
And hence with grateful hearts today
Thine own before Thy feet we lay.
Thy will was in the builders thought;
Thy hand unseen amidst us wrought;
Through mortal motive, scheme and plan
Thy wise eternal purpose ran.
In weakness and in want we call
On Thee for Whom the heavens are small;
Thy glory is Thy childrens good,
Thy joy Thy tender Fatherhood.
O Father, deign these walls to bless;
Fill with Thy love their emptiness;
And let their door a gateway be
To lead us from ourselves to Thee.
We Worship You, our Loving Lord of Grace.
Help us, King Jesus, to Live to Thine Excellent Praise.
Be Glorified, Your Majesty! Be Exalted in Your Mercies and Love.
Unto Him that Loved us, and Washed us from our Sins in His Own Blood,
And hath Made us Kings and Priests unto God and His Father;
To Him be Glory and Dominion Forever and Ever! (Rev.1:6)
We Love You, our Father, and Pray in our Jesus' Name, amen.
Lord, we love you, though with imperfect love.
When the ugliness of this world and its rebellion against you assaults my eyes and ears and heart, I fly to the great hope of your soon return.
It fills me with joy and cleanses me to think on your Word and your promises which are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus.
I lift a voice of praise to you and longing for your triumphant conclusion of all things.
Be exalted in all the earth.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
Psa 57:5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

Wake, awake, for night is flying;
The watchmen on the heights are crying:
Awake, Jerusalem, at last!
Midnight hears the welcome voices
And at the thrilling cry rejoices;
Come forth, ye virgins, night is past;
The Bridegroom comes, awake;
Your lamps with gladness take;
Alleluia! And for His marriage feast prepare
For ye must go and meet Him there.
Zion hears the watchmen singing,
And all her heart with joy is springing;
She wakes, she rises from her gloom;
For her Lord comes down all glorious,
The strong in grace, in truth victorious.
Her Star is risen, her Light is come.
Ah come, Thou blessèd One, Gods own belovèd Son:
Alleluia! We follow till the halls we see
Where Thou hast bid us sup with Thee.
Now let all the heavens adore Thee,
And saints and angels sing before Thee,
With harp and cymbals clearest tone;
Of one pearl each shining portal,
Where we are with the choir immortal
Of angels round Thy dazzling throne;
Nor eye hath seen, nor ear hath yet attained to hear
What there is ours, but we rejoice and sing to Thee
Our hymn of joy eternally.

Jer 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
Jer 17:8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Isa 32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
Isa 32:2 And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
Psa 63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psa 63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psa 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Psa 63:4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
LORD we praise you.
Please send away this great overbearing heat.
Please send your cooling rain in the cool breath of heaven.
We will rejoice in you more than when a good harvest is brought in and more than when quenching gentle rains come and reach our souls with your love and presence.
We wait upon your good will.
Please protect those who are in danger of the heat.
Please send a cloud for a covering.
You are mighty and there is no other God beside you.
Blessed be the name of the LORD.
Your Word is more important for our lives than all this.

Heavenly Father, sovereign Lord,
Ever faithful to Thy word,
Humbly we our seal set to,
Testify that Thou art true.
Lo! for us the wilds are glad,
All in cheerful green arrayed,
Opening sweets they all disclose,
Bud and blossom as the rose.
Hark! the wastes have found a voice,
Lonely deserts now rejoice,
Gladsome hallelujahs sing,
All around with praises ring.
Lo! abundantly they bloom,
Lebanon is hither come,
Carmels stores the heavens dispense,
Sharons fertile excellence.
See, these barren souls of ours
Bloom, and put forth fruits and flowers,
Flowers of Eden, fruits of grace,
Peace, and joy, and righteousness.
We behold (the abjects we!)
Christ, the incarnate Deity,
Christ, in whom Thy glories shine,
Excellence of strength divine.
Ye that tremble at his frown,
He shall lift your hands cast down;
Christ, who all your weakness sees,
He shall prop your feeble knees.
Ye of fearful hearts, be strong;
Jesus will not tarry long;
Fear not lest his truth should fail,
Jesus is unchangeable.
God, your God, shall surely come,
Quell your foes, and seal their doom,
He shall come and save you too;
We, O Lord, have found thee true!
Blind we were, but now we see,
Deal; we hearken now to thee,
Dumb, for thee our tongues employ,
Lame, and, lo! we leap for joy.
Faint we were, and parched with drought,
Water at Thy word gushed out,
Streams of grace our thirst repress,
Starting from the wilderness;
Still we gasp Thy grace to know,
Here for ever let it flow,
Make the thirsty land a pool;
Fix the Spirit in our soul.

At the Name of Jesus {Lyrics: Caroline Noel, 1870. Composer: James Mountain, 1876.}
At the Name of Jesus, every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess Him King of glory now;
Tis the Fathers pleasure we should call Him Lord,
Who from the beginning was the mighty Word.
Humbled for a season, to receive a name
From the lips of sinners unto whom He came,
Faithfully He bore it, spotless to the last,
Brought it back victorious when from death He passed.
In your hearts enthrone Him; there let Him subdue
All that is not holy, all that is not true;
Crown Him as your Captain in temptations hour;
Let His will enfold you in its light and power
Brothers, this Lord Jesus shall return again,
With His Fathers glory, with His angel train;
For all wreaths of empire meet upon His brow,
And our hearts confess Him King of glory now.
We Glorify Your Name, our Wonderful Lord and King. Be Pleased to Help us to Evermore Walk in Your Ways. We Want to be Like Thee, Conformed to Thine Image and Heart. Thank You for Sanctifying us, through Your Loving Grace.
Be Honored and Magnified Forever, our Sovereign Lord of Hosts. Through Jesus Name, for the Glory of the King, amen.
Jehovah is King! (Ps.97:1)
Praising the LORD with you, too, Kitty Mittens. Have a wonderful day in the LORD.
I love this hymn.
I haven’t heard it in a while.
Thank you.
Heb 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
Mat 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Joh 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
Joh 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Rom 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Rom 1:20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Mar 14:61 But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
Mar 14:62 And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
Hos 6:3 Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.”
Hos 2:20 I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the LORD.
AND THEN THERE IS THIS...
Exo 5:2 But Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.”
LET US PRESS ON TO KNOW THE LORD. HE HAS SURELY REVEALED HIMSELF TO US.

Celebrate Immanuels Name, the Prince of life and peace.
God with us, our lips proclaim, our faithful hearts confess.
God is in our flesh revealed; Heavn and earth in Jesus join.
Mortal with Immortal filled, and human with Divine.
Fullness of the Deity in Jesus body dwells,
Dwells in all His saints and me when God His Son reveals.
Father, manifest Thy Son; breathe the true incarnate Word.
In our inmost souls make known the presence of the Lord.
Let the Spirit of our Head through every member flow;
By our Lord inhabited, we then Immanuel know.
Then He doth His Name express; God in us we truly prove,
Find with all the life of grace and all the power of love.

Abraham answered and said, Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes. Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five? And he said, I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.
Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.Pray for those who persecute you.
I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. . . . I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word.Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.
Jas. 5:16; Gen. 18:27, 28; Luke 23:34; Matt. 5:44; John 17:9, 20; Gal. 6:2; Jas. 5:16, 17
Fall on your knees and grow there. There is no burden of the spirit but is lighter by kneeling under it. Prayer means not always talking to Him, but waiting before Him till the dust settles and the stream runs clear.
—F. B. Meyer
Here is the life of prayer, when in or with the Spirit, a man being made sensible of sin, and how to come to the Lord for mercy; he comes, I say, in the strength of the Spirit, and crieth Father. That one word spoken in faith, is better than a thousand prayers, as men call them, written and read, in a formal, cold, lukewarm way.
—John Bunyan

Christian, dost thou see them on the holy ground,
How the powers of darkness rage thy steps around?
Christian, up and smite them, counting gain but loss,
In the strength that cometh by the holy cross.
Christian, dost thou feel them, how they work within,
Striving, tempting, luring, goading into sin?
Christian, never tremble; never be downcast;
Gird thee for the battle, watch and pray and fast.
Christian, dost thou hear them, how they speak thee fair?
Always fast and vigil? Always watch and prayer?
Christian, answer boldly: While I breathe I pray!
Peace shall follow battle, night shall end in day.
Well I know thy trouble, O my servant true;
Thou art very weary, I was weary, too;
But that toil shall make thee some day all Mine own,
At the end of sorrow shall be near my throne.

Wonderful Grace of Jesus {Lyrics and Composer: Haldor Lillenas, 1918}
Wonderful grace of Jesus,
Greater than all my sin;
How shall my tongue describe it,
Where shall its praise begin?
Taking away my burden,
Setting my spirit free;
For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.
Wonderful the matchless grace of Jesus,
Deeper than the mighty rolling sea;
Wonderful grace, all sufficient for me, for even me.
Broader than the scope of my transgressions,
Greater far than all my sin and shame,
O magnify the precious Name of Jesus.
Praise His Name!
Wonderful grace of Jesus,
Reaching to all the lost,
By it I have been pardoned,
Saved to the uttermost,
Chains have been torn asunder,
Giving me liberty;
For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.
Wonderful the matchless grace of Jesus,
Deeper than the mighty rolling sea;
Wonderful grace, all sufficient for me, for even me.
Broader than the scope of my transgressions,
Greater far than all my sin and shame,
O magnify the precious Name of Jesus.
Praise His Name!
Wonderful grace of Jesus,
Reaching the most defiled,
By its transforming power,
Making him Gods dear child,
Purchasing peace and heaven,
For all eternity;
And the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.
Wonderful the matchless grace of Jesus,
Deeper than the mighty rolling sea;
Wonderful grace, all sufficient for me, for even me.
Broader than the scope of my transgressions,
Greater far than all my sin and shame,
O magnify the precious Name of Jesus.
Praise His Name!
Grace unto you, and Peace, be Multiplied.(1Pet.1:2)
I Love That hymn. It has a way of getting lodged in my brain.

I hope you are having a Blessed day.

Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.
Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord.
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God.
Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.My heart exults in the Lord; . . . I rejoice in your salvation.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

Let not the wise his wisdom boast,
The mighty glory in his might,
The rich in flattering riches trust,
Which take their everlasting flight.
The rush of numerous years bears down
The most gigantic strength of man;
And where is all his wisdom gone,
When dust he turns to dust again?
One only gift can justify
The boasting soul that knows his God;
When Jesus doth His blood apply,
I glory in His sprinkled blood.
The Lord, my Righteousness, I praise,
I triumph in the love divine,
The wisdom, wealth, and strength of grace,
In Christ through endless ages mine.
—Charles Wesley, 1762
LORD, we have nothing in which to boast or be proud.
Everything we have you have given to us.
Even the sunrise and moonrise.
All health and all breath, the power to think and to live.
We thank you for your goodness to us.
We will boast in this, that you are good and your mercy endures forever.
THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU.
PRAISE THE LORD.
Amen.
