Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
William Bradbury
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3

2Ti 2:1 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,
2Ti 2:2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
2Ti 2:3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:4 No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.
........
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
2Co 10:5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
......
Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
Eph 6:16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
Eph 6:17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
Eph 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

He who would valiant be gainst all disaster,
Let him in constancy follow the Master.
Theres no discouragement shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent to be a pilgrim.
Who so beset him round with dismal stories
Do but themselves confoundhis strength the more is.
No foes shall stay his might; though he with giants fight,
He will make good his right to be a pilgrim.
Since, Lord, Thou dost defend us with Thy Spirit,
We know we at the end, shall life inherit.
Then fancies flee away! Ill fear not what men say,
Ill labor night and day to be a pilgrim.
--John Bunyan
The original text from Pilgrims Progress:
Who would true valour see,
Let him come hither;
One here will constant be,
Come wind, come weather
Theres no discouragement
Shall make him once relent
His first avowed intent
To be a pilgrim.
Whoso beset him round
With dismal stories
Do but themselves confound;
His strength the more is.
No lion can him fright,
Hell with a giant fight,
He will have a right
To be a pilgrim.
Hobgoblin nor foul fiend
Can daunt his spirit,
He knows he at the end
Shall life inherit.
Then fancies fly away,
Hell fear not what men say,
Hell labor night and day
To be a pilgrim.

Sing God a brand-new song!
Earth and everyone in it, sing!
Sing to Godworship God!
Shout the news of his victory from sea to sea,
Take the news of his glory to the lost,
News of his wonders to one and all!
For God is great, and worth a thousand Hallelujahs.
His terrible beauty makes the gods look cheap;
Pagan gods are mere tatters and rags.
God made the heavens
Royal splendor radiates from him,
A powerful beauty sets him apart.
Bravo, God, Bravo!
Everyone join in the great shout: Encore!
In awe before the beauty,
In awe before the might.
Bring gifts and celebrate,
Bow before the beauty of God,
Then to your kneeseveryone worship!
Get out the messageGod Rules!
He put the world on a firm foundation;
He treats everyone fair and square.
Let's hear it from Sky,
With Earth joining in,
And a huge round of applause from Sea.
Let Wilderness turn cartwheels,
Animals, come dance,
Put every tree of the forest in the choir
An extravaganza before God as he comes,
As he comes to set everything right on earth,
Set everything right, treat everyone fair. (Ps.96)
Glory to God in the Church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory Down All the Generations! Glory through All Millennia! Oh, Yes! (Eph.3:21)
Just lovely! Thank you.
Thank you for your prayers!
Everything is so difficult with my hands this way. I worry about getting out in public places with the blisters open to infection - and I have to go take care of business tomorrow, probably without a ride from my former neighbor.
I'm trying to plan a way to ride the bus, God willing that I can breathe well enough to walk where I need to, by wrapping my hands with gauze and then putting winter gloves over them. I can't put the gloves directly on, too scratchy. I had to wait until a cold day and we don't have many.
If I can do that, I'll probably then get a taxi to the bank the next day. I haven't been able to afford taxis, but I guess I'll have to since my ride is balking.
So many minor problems become complicated in my present life. At least I figured out a way to make snickerdoodles - pre-made cookie dough, something new to me, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar - baking just a few at a time and putting remainder of dough in freezer. Did it all with one unwrapped hand!

With All my Heart I will Praise You!
I will Give Glory to Your Name Forever,
For You Love us So Much!
You are Constantly So Kind!
You have Rescued us from Deepest Hell. (Ps.86:12,13)
Bless you - and thank you 1000fold. I'm sorry you had such pain before but so glad it's manageable now.
I'm very aware that many people have it so much worse than I do and I'm grateful this is somewhat controllable. God realizes that there's no one else who can help me and I know He'll see to it that I'm healed - but just not one moment sooner than He deems it, lol.
I'm not good at thanking Him for trials and tribulations - it's because I'm afraid if He thinks I like them that I'll get more!
Hope you have a happy day. If I can get some sleep, I'll have a fresh start. Missed my chance to do my money chores, so will just have to put off worrying about them until tomorrow.
Thank you again, and to all here in the Prayer Room. *Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.*

Now rest beneath nights shadow
The woodland, field, and meadow,
The world in slumber lies;
But Thou, my heart, awake thee,
To prayer and song betake thee;
Let praise to thy Creator rise.
The radiant sun hath vanished,
His golden rays are banished
By night, the foe of day;
But Christ, the Sun of gladness,
Dispelling all my sadness,
Within my heart holds constant sway.
The rule of day is over
And shining jewels cover
The heavens boundless blue.
Thus I shall shine in heaven,
Where crowns of gold are given
To all who faithful prove and true.
To rest my body hasteth,
Aside its garments casteth,
Types of mortality;
These I put off and ponder
How Christ will give me yonder
A robe of glorious majesty.
Lord Jesus, Who dost love me,
Oh, spread Thy wings above me
And shield me from alarm!
Though evil would assail me,
Thy mercy will not fail me:
I rest in Thy protecting arm.
My loved ones, rest securely,
For God this night will surely
From peril guard your heads.
Sweet slumbers may He send you
And bid His hosts attend you
And through the night watch oer your beds.
So sweet!

"I Am The LORD Who Heals You."
~Exodus 15:26

Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, O descendants of Abraham his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.
