Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
Psalm 127:1>
At this time, when feelings run high, the world seems crazy, and anger seems to be the one thing the peoples of the world have in common, I invite you, my fellow FReepers, to join me in prayers and meditation for guidance, God's help and for our fellow man, for America, our troops, and all our own needs.
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Fathers throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempters snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change,
though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Psalm 46: 1-3
Just noticed this today Knitting. How are you feeling today? I just woke with a sore throat. Must be going around. Praying for you. Polly
Jer 6:14 They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, 'Peace, peace,' when there is no peace.
........
Jer 23:17 They say continually to those who despise the word of the LORD, 'It shall be well with you'; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, 'No disaster shall come upon you.'"
.........
Eze 13:15 Thus will I spend my wrath upon the wall and upon those who have smeared it with whitewash, and I will say to you, The wall is no more, nor those who smeared it,
Eze 13:16 the prophets of Israel who prophesied concerning Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her, when there was no peace, declares the Lord GOD.
.........
Eze 13:22 Because you have disheartened the righteous falsely, although I have not grieved him, and you have encouraged the wicked, that he should not turn from his evil way to save his life,
Eze 13:23 therefore you shall no more see false visions nor practice divination. I will deliver my people out of your hand. And you shall know that I am the LORD."
Father,
I pray that we would be quiet before you and consider that your Word is not preached to bring men to repentance, but used to bring a false sense of comfort and peace to those who have no Salvation Peace with you.
Amo 8:11 "Behold, the days are coming," declares the Lord GOD, "when I will send a famine on the land-- not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.
LORD of REDEMPTION whose Name is Holy, Please bring repentance to those who are preaching your Word in a compromised way so that your Truth may be heard in the land.
Jesus did not distribute spoiled fish and wormy bread to the multitude that sought Him and there were many baskets full left over.
Let their be good pasture and hidden manna for those desiring to know you and who seek the True Bread and the Living Water.
I ask these things in Jesus' Name.

Psa 78:15 He split rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink abundantly as from the deep.
Psa 78:16 He made streams come out of the rock and caused waters to flow down like rivers.
Psa 78:17 Yet they sinned still more against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert.
Psa 78:18 They tested God in their heart by demanding the food they craved.
Psa 78:19 They spoke against God, saying, "Can God spread a table in the wilderness?
Psa 78:20 He struck the rock so that water gushed out and streams overflowed. Can he also give bread or provide meat for his people?"
Psa 78:21 Therefore, when the LORD heard, he was full of wrath; a fire was kindled against Jacob; his anger rose against Israel,
Psa 78:22 because they did not believe in God and did not trust his saving power.
Psa 78:23 Yet he commanded the skies above and opened the doors of heaven,
Psa 78:24 and he rained down on them manna to eat and gave them the grain of heaven.
Psa 78:25 Man ate of the bread of the angels; he sent them food in abundance.

Mat 14:16 But Jesus said, "They need not go away; you give them something to eat."
Mat 14:17 They said to him, "We have only five loaves here and two fish."
Mat 14:18 And he said, "Bring them here to me."
Mat 14:19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
Mat 14:20 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over.
Mat 14:21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Joh 21:15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
Joh 21:16 He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
Joh 21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.
Father, LORD of the Harvest, send laborers who will feed your sheep and lambs.
Psa 100:3 Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Psa 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
Psa 100:5 For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
The ear still feels like it's stuffed with cotton from the inside, but it doesn't hurt as much. Throat's better.
Thank you, dear Kitty! May our prayers uplift us all!

1. See, the Conqueror mounts in triumph;
See the King in royal state,
Riding on the clouds, His chariot,
To His heavenly palace gate!
Hark, the choirs of angel voices
Joyful alleluias sing,
And the portals high are lifted
To receive their heavenly King.
2. Who is this that comes in glory
With the trump of jubilee?
Lord of battles, God of armies,
He hath gained the victory.
He who on the cross did suffer,
He who from the grave arose,
He hath vanquished sin and Satan;
He by death hath spoiled His foes.
3. While He lifts His hands in blessing,
He is parted from His friends;
While their eager eyes behold Him,
He upon the clouds ascends.
He who walked with God and pleased Him,
Preaching truth and doom to come,
He, our Enoch, is translated
To His everlasting home.
4. Now our heavenly Aaron enters
With His blood within the veil;
Joshua now is come to Canaan,
And the kings before Him quail.
Now He plants the tribes of Israel
In their promised resting-place;
Now our great Elijah offers
Double portion of His grace.
5. Thou hast raised our human nature
On the clouds to God's right hand;
There we sit in heavenly places,
There with Thee in glory stand.
Jesus reigns, adored by angels;
Man with God is on the throne.
Mighty Lord, in Thine ascension
We by faith behold our own.
6. Glory be to God the Father;
Glory be to God the Son,
Dying, risen, ascending for us,
Who the heavenly realm hath won.
Glory to the Holy Spirit!
To One God in Persons Three
Glory both in earth and heaven,
Glory, endless glory, be.

A Prayer, Living and Dying (ROCK OF AGES) by Augustus Toplady
Rock of ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in thee;
Let the water and the blood
From thy riven side which flow'd
Be of sin the double cure,
Cleans me from its guilt and pow'r.
Not the labors of my hands,
Can fulfil thy law's demands:
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears for ever flow;
All for sin could not atone,
Thou must save and thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to thy cross I cling:
Naked come to thee for dress,
Helpless, look to thee for grace:
Foul I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Savior, or I die.
While I draw this fleeting breath,
When my eye-strings break in death;
When I soar to worlds unknown;
See thee on thy judgment throne,
Rock of ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in thee.
Thank You for Saving us, Your Highness, for Rescuing us from Iniquity and Sin. Your Blood has Washed us to Dazzling White; Your Death has Delivered us from our Plight. Oh, the Tender Mercies of our Lord; Your Lovingkindness is Overflowing our Life! Bless Your Lambs, O Shepherd, and Thank You for this Fellowship of Saints. In Your Name Most Glorious, we Worship You, Father, amen.

Father in Heaven, it is disturbing to behold the eagerness of the wicked to carry out their evil deeds.
It is sorrowing to observe injury received by those who can not protect themselves.
Sin mounts up higher and higher.
Father, help me keep my eyes on the LAMB.
There is rest for my eyes and my soul in HIM;
Peace for my heart and mind.
He is my refuge and destination.
Thank you for Jesus.

YOU ARE MY HIDING PLACE,

Prayer for Mercy
In the darkness of the moment, I turn to you, O Lord,
You who are the light in which there is no darkness.
Help me to see my way among the rocks and the holes,
The rubble of this sin-filled land in its starkness,
All the places where I might trip and fall
And be swallowed up by the night.
How the sound of sin's dark consequences
pierce through the midnight of this poor world,
The hatred masquerading as good intentions,
in smoke and fire and death and grief unfurl,
in little ways, too, with heart rending words
designed to cut and blight.
O Lord, remember us, how you gave your blood in love
to open up the door to heaven's healing touch,
And looked upon all our hurts and pains with loving eyes,
Shepherdless this people, needing much --
And as the darkness thickens, Lord,
Restore to us our sight!
Steadfast love we have not, save what comes from You,
Who sends your grace to fall upon this hard place
In spite of who we are and what we've done since day began.
In spite of sin and coldness, O Lord, turn not your face,
But remember how you wept in the garden
That one spring moonlit midnight.
O Lord, have pity on the ones I cannot reach but know
How frightened, lost and hungry are their days,
O Lord, the children lost, their parents dying, the wars go on
Satan's laughter piercing through the blood red haze --
Remember Lord, the cross that awful day,
Help us by your might!
