Yeah, I know. Another vanity. But I'm wondering...any chance he might flip?
Last night, in an interview, he said he feels "liberated". It sort of went by in the heat of the moment, but I thought, the old SOB, he's got them all right where he wants them - why would he give that up? LOL.
Today on Hannity, he said he promised already to vote with the Dems on organization, but freely admitted that the tenor of his old relationships had changed - when Sean pressed him as to whether or not he felt betrayed by the likes of Kerry and Kennedy.
He's ticked at them, but he's too good a politician to come out and call them names. He's a lib, but he may turn out to be a good ally in the WOT.
No. He doesn't strike me as the vindictive type. Plus his wife is uber-liberal. He wouldn't be able to go home. Or he'd be divorced.
Sen. Campbell, a Native American from CO shook up the Dims when he switched to Republican so it's possible. Besides, Lieberman has more guts than a lot of Republicans.
And you figure if he decided not to vote with the Dems, but stayed independent, that still gives the Dems. the Senate by a 50-49 vote. Remember when Jeffords left the Republican party, it gave the Dems. a 50-49 advantage and control.
Any DINO senators who could switch to the Repubs?
Are there any conservative or moderate Democrats left?
I hope not, I don't want any more liberals. That's how we got into this mess to begin with.
Maybe if we get off our asses and do something during the last four months of the campaign instead of talking about polls and October surprises everyday, we wouldn't have to talk about crazy stuff like this.
Not me. We don't need the party moving any further left. He'll be a far worse thorn in the moonbats' sides as an independent whom they're forced to caucus with.
I think if John Mclame asked him, he might.
None. Its over :(
It's a nice thought, but I don't think it will ever happen. Iraq aside, Joe's pretty liberal. He'll probably stay independent, though IMO it's not impossible he'll go back to the Democrats, if they ply him with enough perqs.
" I WANT the DEMS to have BOTH houses... LET THEM SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO. THEY CANT DELIVER, THROW THE BUMS OUT!"
In theroy that isn't a bad idea for setting our own guys straight but not in the midst of the war on terror and not when it means a surrender of our borders.
Lieberman could be the most powerful man in the Senate... he's the magic "50". He can zig and zag between the two parties... someone ealier said "catbird seat" yup, it's his!
He may be the biggest winner in this whole debaucle!
That depends on the final Democrat margin in the Senate. It he's the 51st vote, and Harry Reid hasn't kissed his butt sufficiently, then perhaps he'd flip. The GOP would have to have a ballsy leadership in place; why go over the wall to a bunch of wimps?
well... whats a 1 seat majority going to do? nothing... let them have it, then they can't blame us.
Not bloody likely!
I watched you in the debate for Presidential Nomination of your Party in 2004, when you were booed by your own party members for being strong on defense.
I watched as Jimmy Carter, tried to get you defeated in this recent election.
There is always a Home for you Joe in the Republican Party. Call out People, we will work out the details :-)
Stoopid is not. Zottable
The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Well I beg your freaking pardon for asking a question. Sorry to be so stupid.
