A calendar featuring Ontario farmers, including two from this area, is unveiled at the Ontario AgriCentre, 100 Stone Rd. W., on Tuesday Nov. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. The 2007 Faces of Farming calendar launched by the Ontario Farm Animal Council features two local farmers.
Martha Schatti, who represents the month of February, is an elk farmer from Rockwood. Lawrence Drost, a chicken farmer from Moorefield, represents May.
The calendar project is also being expanded into a rotating art show. Part of the main floor of the AgriCentre will be used to exhibit photos and stories from the calendar.
What about moose farmers?

Would that be Martha, the elk farmer? If so, it would go a long way toward explaining antlers and racks and stuff.
