The Six Reasons Are:
George "Macaca" Allen
Linc "libidiot" Chafee
Conrad "Loose Mouth Abramoff" Burns
Mike "Useless" Dewine
What's His Name "What'd he do" Talent
Rick "Maybe he's in a liberal State" Santorum
Let's face it...the media shot us...but we gave them the ammo and yelled "Hey...over here!"
Thanks for the recommendation but that particular link doesn't work, although I was able to get to his site. Maybe he removed the article.

Yeah, that philosophy has worked well for Blacks. They vote for the Dems, and the Dems take them for granted. I'm tired of my vote being taken for granted.
Look under the "Message from Dan" for April '06.

In any case the new world order is coming and no one will be able to stop it, because we keep voting for the same chumps who support it on both the Democratic and Republican sides of the political fence.
I hope I am wrong but I fear that this is the beginning of the demise of true conservatism.
1. People do not like a 4.4% unemplyment rate. 2. The electorate doesn't like low taxes..........(etc.)
People don't know about those things. The liberal media wouldn't report it. See? Only the anti-Republican propaganda made the front page news.
He who controls communication rules the world.
Are you kidding? The left wing media was camped out in their bathrooms to make sure they wiped. They were like maggots digging through road kill looking for a live cell.
The democrat social policies have had them trapped in poverty since the civil rights movement. Either they vote democrat, or the democrats will cut off their government cheese. They don't have much choice.
Unquestionably a factor, but not the total answer.
. Look at the hawk Lieberman who suports the war. He can't get his own party's nomination, precisely because he avidly supports the Iraq war. . But when the Hawk Lieberman runs as an Independent against the socialist(dem) and the Republican, Lieberman gets 60% of the vote. - tom
Let me try my list:
Since we are at war, we needed
1- Strong, articulate leadership.
2- Single minded focus on victory
3- No tolerance for treasonous behavior
4- United response to Fifth Column (MSM/DEM spin machine)
5- Secured borders
6- No stupid distractions (i.e: BS Gay scandals)
We failed on all counts creating an uneasy fear that we were losing the war. People responded by looking for any change in the discomfort and Democrats were the only alternatives (even without a plan or a leader).
Unfortunately for the voters, none of those six reasons are going away...still feeling frustrated after all these years.
Gotcha.
Yep !!!
And the dems became fake Repubs. I have been thinking of something. The only Dem that lost was Ford, Jr. Why do you think that was? Myself - I think it was Ford put himself in the limelight. Not specifically the Memphis Meltdown but he placed himself in the national limelight. Except last Sunday when McCaskel was on FNS, the other dem senate candidates stayed away from the limelight. Sure, you had a couple instances when they were on Meet The Press or something like that, but mostly nobody but political junkies watch those programs. However, Ford couldn't help himself and jumped in that spotlight. Perhaps the only bright spot on a glommy Wednesday morning.
1 They forgot why we sent them there in 94
2 They acted like libs when they got there
3 Many of the Dems in the South and the West ran like Conservatives
exactly. They would have squeeked it out had not been for the scandles...but the DNC would we wrecked if they'd stuck with Reagan-Conservatism.
I'd call that a spot-on assessment. The Dims were better able to keep their "black sheep" away from the spotlight, aided by a highly-cooperative MSM.
Tell that to Reagan--he did it without talk radio and bloggers too. Don't blame others for our own problems.
WE WERE driving the bus!!
Folks,
You have realy forgotten the most important issue --- THE WAR IN IRAQ NEEDS A RESOLUTION.
The party of Bush lost BECAUSE MOST VOTERS consider IRAQ to be the main issue. The Dems succeeded in nationalizing it and it worked ( in my NY-NJ area, Menendez kept harping that Kean was going to continue voting with Bush to keep soldiers in Iraq and he won ).
We can't keep saying -- we'll leave when the job is done. That isn't washing anymore.
People want a hard answer -- HOW DO YOU DEFINE -- THE JOB IS DONE ?
I haven't seen a good definition of this anywhere.
Whatever it is -- it can't be -- THE JOB IS DONE WHEN THE SUNNIS AND SHIITES LEARN TO LIVE WITH EACH OTHER.
That is going to be a long time coming and the public do not have the patience for that.
We've got to come up with something concrete this time.
