I had the understanding that if the GOP failed to pick-up either of these seats that this would be the first time in forever that one party failed to take a single seat from the other party in either the House, Senate or Governorships.
What an ass-kicking. This is sad.
I really hope Burns and/or Allen can win and give us something - SOMETHING positive from this election.

Well not really. That was true in 1994 with the GOP sweep, so unless 16 years ago is "forever" then it wasn't that long ago the GOP kept the Dems. from taking any new territory.
