Tantrums Have Consequences . . . Let's Make Consequences for the Tantrum Enablers

The link in this article is to a great thread by our Aussie friend asking how America could be so stupid.

There are a lot of great comments on that thread.

However, I would like this thread to discuss specific things we could do to punish the brats in America for their temper tantrum yesterday.

My brain is still foggy from working until closing as a poll watcher after putting in most of a day's work at my regular job. However, there are specific things I plan to do as follows:

  1. Downgrade my newspaper subscription to Sunday only. It has most of the coupons and good stuff. Were it not for the fact it has a rather libertarian editorial stance, I'd drop it completely. Despite this stance, it took the asinine editorial position of endorsing "Cut and Run" Murtha over an attractive alternative candidate who might actually have beaten him with a little more support, including financial support from the RNC tinkled away in a worthless attempt to save a worthless candidate like Chaffee in RI.
  2. Drop local channels (ABC, CBS, NBC) from my cable package. Sure, it cost only $5 per month. But that $5 can better be used supporting Free Republic and military charities like the USO, VFW, DAV, etc. Further, the alphabet media were major enablers in yesterday's tantrum.
  3. Reviewing carefully any business relationships with companies located in the St. Louis or Kansas City area, enablers of the tantrum in Missouri. One credit card company takes payments in St. Louis. I will cease using their card or pay on-line so as not to support employment in St. Louis.

Well, I think St. Louis won't need your help to royally screw their economy. They are doing quite well by themselves.

About the dumbest thing I've seen posted today.

The media make for a convenient scapegoat (and perhaps those "dumb voters" in Missouri) but they are not to blame. Media may be biased but nobody pays them any heed anymore. That is why network news ratings continue to tank (and with Katie in the chair, can only head down).

Read my lips:

Bush
Iraq
Scandals
Spending (out of control)
Immigration

Take away any of these issues and the Dems would be sulking today.

Vigilanteman:

I think some people who belong in the Tantrum category were spewing their bile in the PA Forums for the past year.

We both know who these now banned people are.

They own part of this election result.
