Apparently you don't understand committee assignments.

RINO's are now officially on the endangered species list.

Ah, but you see, if we had run Tom Coburn in every race in the country, we'd win every seat!

And now we are not in charge of the judiciary committee. Or any committee. Ha, ha, Chafee. We showed you. Half of the GOP senators are not conservative enough for me. We need to get rid of them. If the Dems have 75 senators, that will teach our guys a lesson they won't soon forget.

Pelosi is 3rd in line for the Presidency. That is TERRIFYING.

I like Coburn too, I'm just making fun of the idiots who think that if we ran 'true believers' in every race we'd win every race.

Don't be ridiculous. If you think that Chafee would have stayed a Republican in a 50 - 50 Senate, then you are naive. I will say it again, just to be clear: Chafee was a Jeffords waiting to happen. That is, he would have gone 'I' before January and he would have ended up caucusing with the rats. There is not a doubt in my mind.

Regards,
LH

I would have to agree that Lincoln Chaffee's only utility was that his loose affiliation to the republican party added to our majority count. His token occasional agreement with his party was bairly enough to qualify him for the title of RINO.

If we loose the Senate by one position, we would have been well served to keep his stuffed shirt around.

You are the one with the problem. You can't communicate your thouhts and you are rude and offensive. It is really sad you can't carry on a conversation without reverting to 13 year old behavior.

Chafee's loss is like the dysentery induced stomach cramp before the explosive evacuation of the lower intestine.

It's unpleasant now, but the Rhode Island GOP may just get it's leftist ways out of it's system. In six years, there may be a conservative candidate...

Then again, the Ted Kennedy Crohn's disease may take hold...

What a stupid post. Chafee was a RINO but if he had won we'd still be in control of the Senate. With the stakes as high as they are now in the WOT that would be huge.

"Dude, Chafee has a 26% conservative voting record.

His is lower than many DEMOCRATS!!

Chafee is NO HELP to the GOP and NEVER was.
"

Yes but having him would mean we would be in charge of all the commitees. That would be HUGE!

"Republican" Chafee just announced he is likely to leave the GOP now that he can no longer "win" as one.

Get a clue. I bet this SOB would have done the same thing if he had been re-elected but would have served in the minority unless he jumped ship. Linc Chafee is a lifelong leftist cokehead douchebag who only has an "R" next to his name out of family tradition.

The freepers who learned absolutely nothing from the Jeffords decable tried to get this commie re-elected with GOP money. If we had done so, we'd probably be seeing Senator Linc Chafee (D) chairing the Public Works committee in January.

>> North East is now clear of Republicans.... Oh well, at least you are happy.

Yeah, don't let the facts get in the way. Meanwhile, here's the ACTUAL results in RI

Rhode Island - Governor 2006
Don Carcieri (R) 197,013
Charles Fogarty (D) 189,099

The truth is that Northeast is now clear of RINOs. The "unelectable" conservatives there are still holding office. When voters have to choose between a Dem wannabe and an actual Dem, they're always go with the geninue article. Ideologically, there's no change in RI.

I, for one, am very pleased "unelectable" pro-life, pro-family, pro-tax cuts Don Carcieri was RE-ELECTED and Hillary clone Chafee had his @$$ handed to him.

Please explain how CONSERATIVE Don Calceri WON re-election in Rhode Island and "electable moderate" (a.k.a. liberal) Linc Chafee lost.

You RINO aplogists here simply cannot accept that voters prefer geninue Dems over Dems-with-an-R-next-to-their-name every time.
