Question: Does big Democratic win mean Bye Bye to Iraq, Bush Doctrine and Aggressive War on Terror?

Does the big Democrat win of the House mean Democrats will be able and willing to pull the plug on funding for our war in Iraq, force our withdrawal, encourage the Kurds to declare outright independence, send the whole country into the toilet (err...deeper into the toilet) and greatly embolden Islamofascists everywhere?

Bush has already been fighting this War on Terror with at least one arm tied behind his back. Is the War on Terror effectively over now?...err, until the next terrorist attack? Thoughts?

He's going to push amnesty to illegals on us. That's what he's going to do.

It sucks!

But now that war will come HERE as the election of the Dems is an engraved invitation for the islamist radicals.

Yeah, that's why the first words out of the mouth of his mouthpiece (Snow) had nothing to do with the WOT, but how happy Bush'll be to ramrod illegal alien amnesty through the House and Senate.

And it took over 20 years for Vietnam to recover for that fiasco.

The Democrats really want to bring humanity to the brink of another Dark Age....

they could care less-now they can concentrate on impeaching Bush and raising taxes. If they don't care about unborn babies why would they worry about the innocent Iraquis that are about to be slaughtered?

No. President will get tougher and more aggressive overseas. It's the smart play. Dems have to support the troops or look like weasels.

Wishful thinking, amigo. It would have been the smart play a lot earlier. The current forward momentum for a tougher foreign policy is almost nonexistant. As things stand now, there's enough discontent over the war, and specifically the war as waged by the current administration, for the Dems to resist the President at will.

Iran will correctly assume that the American people are tired of foreign conflicts, and aren't looking to start trouble with a country even more volatile than Iraq. The Dems will correctly assume that so long as they don't overplay their hand, they can force the President to assume a less aggressive stance and get away with it. President Bush is on thinner ice than ever before. That's bad footing to be on for tackling a task like Iran.

No, but it should mean "bye-bye Mr. Rumsfeld"!

We have lost our Warrior Spirit when we cannot even throw the illegals out!

I'm not so sure. The Democrats have to know they only won with conservative candidates in the South and that this election was more about fatigue with Republicans than any ground swell of support for liberalism. We'll see. But, I am saying goodbye to making the tax cuts permanent. And sigh... so much for getting another conservative judge on the SC.

So be it. The voters have spoken for this cycle. They have grown understandably impatient. The president understands this. He must listen and make adjustments....sometimes the American people know best. They gave him a vote of confidence in 04, they're sending a message in 06.

It's time for the Iraqi's to step to the plate and get it done.

Short term, no. Long term -- after the attack -- hell no.

IF i were President Bush I would say, "OK, the American people have spoken and they have voted for a tax increase, they will get what they voted for.. "HIGHER TAXES", across the board and withdraw from Iraq, NEXT TIME they need to understand that voting for Democrats has consequences"

true there is a war going on, but it's nothing compared to the war that's coming. We could have won it now but were too timid...we should have been in Damascus in 2004...so we lost momentum and stalled. Our enemies are legion..the Islamofascists are just the front men for Russia and the totalitarian leftists all over the world...They are happy to use the Islamics and the Islamics are happy to be used...it beats shufflin around unemployed and sodding eachother in the ghetto.....The great clash is yet to come.

In short, yes.

And instead of creating an ally in the Mideast, we will have recreated hatred in Iraq because the United States cut and run. The Iraqi people will never forgive us.

Yes.

It'll be Vietnam all over. We'll cut and run. Iraq will devolve into civil war, the anti-wars will claim victory, say it's Bush's fault and millions of Iraqis will die. American will be irreparably harmed.

You can be SURE that Osama is dancing in his cave!

Right. What's why his FIRST PRIORITY on news of the loss is AMNESTY for ILLEGALS. He's a spineless, overspending, inarticulate bastard.
