Does the big Democrat win of the House mean Democrats will be able and willing to pull the plug on funding for our war in Iraq, force our withdrawal, encourage the Kurds to declare outright independence, send the whole country into the toilet (err...deeper into the toilet) and greatly embolden Islamofascists everywhere?
Bush has already been fighting this War on Terror with at least one arm tied behind his back. Is the War on Terror effectively over now?...err, until the next terrorist attack? Thoughts?
Please, please, everyone, stop calling it the war on terror. That is one of the mistakes of the administration, IMO. People need to be told who are enemies are, no matter how loud the Rats or Islamos cry about it.
...or Bush will give away the store to continue it, which would be a stupid thing to do.
Also see my post no. 8 Chris.
I hope they try so every MORON in PA VA OH and IN who got fooled by Dem's in conservative clothing can think ""What have I done"
What aggressive war on terror? The "shock and awe" went out of the fight a long time ago. The RINOs should be ashamed. Doubtful.
It's time for the president to stand against the cut n runners. Time to put that veto pen to work now too.
they knew that during vietnam, and they followed thru. they'll probably do the same for iraq. as long as they can prove w wrong, they dont care how many people get executed.
yes for now, but there are world-historical forces at play here that have nothing to do with US elections...the phoneywar stage of the the GWOT is over....mow comes the Phoneypeace...and then the catastrophe... and real hellish war...who wins? Some will live to find out, they may be the unlucky ones.
LOL! Sure he is. tough. Right. His base has lost power. All he had was the base.
I've never seen him use the old veto pen. Think he will now?
I'm mad. And I'm saying it. Sorry. But, We have, by all accounts lost.
Whats the saying? Too little-too late.
I sincerely doubt it. They want out of Iraq, but they know they have to do it slowly. Simply demanding an immediate withdrawal will not be popular, and they're too smart for it; they'll insist on a set of markers and a gradual withdrawal.
Well, it sure isn't going to make it any easier for him. I think he's already lost a lot of his effectiveness in that the MSM helps the enemy as their propaganda arm, Congress has been slowing down progress anyway, so this just speeds up the process of becoming "impotent" on the issue. Perhaps "lame duck" really applies here.
Time to re-supply the home.
There is no veto proof majority.
There is no opportunity to veto the non-appropriation of funds.
If it is upto Democraps, it would be goodbye to Bush himself....
Don't be surprised if they try to impeach him... (won't be able to remove - Dems have a score to settle)...
"phoneywar"
No wildcat, there's a war going on and it is a war on terror, but most people just aren't paying attention.

There is good news folks out of all this. Now its time for the Democrats to put up or shut up and god knows the democrats cant do either. When the American people see that it ain't the "blue dogs" calling the shots but the pelosi/kennedy minions and they see all the uber spending projects they enact and they raise ALL of our taxes we will be looking at a GOP BLOW OUT in 08'. Lets stop the hysterics, the war on terror is not over, we survived shit like this during the cold war we need to quit whining and focus on 2008. What's done is done and we need to move forward, the Dem's want us to spend the next 2 years in civil war so that they can cement there gains. We lost a battle that is it, If the Dem's can have a blow out after a bitter loss in 04' we can crush them in 08'.
Bush has already given up the War on Teror all by himself. Doesn't need the Democrats to help him quit. Remember - he had a compliant congress - both houses Republican. There's no excuse for his failure to follow through on his promises.
