Anyone who needs a place to chat about the election,PLEASE COME HERE! I am so nervous and excited, I can't sleep ( east coast). Anyone want to join me, until we can fall asleep?
I am tired of refreshing threads,
Yes this is a Vanity, but not of Drama Queen proportions (think DU...not.) I am just not ready to call it a night. I want to hear anything exciting a positive about your area of the country!
I agree!
Please try to sleep, because you may need to work hard tomorrow! Fill up your gas so you can pick up people... (if needed).
We turned on Sean, and heard about the exit polls, but Sean energizing everyone to vote (voted early that morning). by the time we got to the restaurant, 2 min. from our office, I was so nervous, I could barely eat!
I stayed up all night long, and finally fell asleep about 2 pm the next day!
OK, so I get emotional, during election time.... Sue me LOL

Have you tried reading something at the Al Gore website?
"Now abide Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these is Love."
THE BOOK OF NEHEMIAH
"...I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.
7 We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
8 Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
9 But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
10 Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.
11 O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer....

Good news from Texas. My mother who generally votes for libs is voting for Bob Duell for State SEnator and Ralph Hall for U.S. Congress, because my brother likes them and she wants to make my brother happy....
Once, but I didn't like it! LOL
I was feeling pretty good about our chances til I watched Hannity. Even he isn't holding out much hope for us keeping the House.....depressing. Actually, I don't think I've heard anyone say we even have a chance!
We just had twelve 7 & 8-year old girls leave our daughter's birthday party. Our daughter is trying to come down from her big day. The rest of our kids are trying to come down cake & ice cream high. The 15-year old thought this would be a good time to break out his saxophone.
No...I'm not going to be able to sleep for awhile.
Oh yeah, the next door neighbor's dog is starting to bark.
