There is nothing dangerous about caiming your abundance. Taht is what God wants us to do. Living more abundantly is God's plan fr us.

You seem to think that your particular interpretation of the Bible is the final word. I don't. It is very useful and instructive, but I will quote the truth wherever I find it.

The fact is that certain parts of the Bible are less filtered than other parts. John, for example, essentially rewrote things to suit his agenda. It's been stdied and John contains virtually no genuine sayings of Jesus, at least nothing that isn't in other books as well.

Note, for example, that in Matthew Jesus says "You are the light of the world." But that quote doesn't suit John's agenda, so he renders it "I am the light of the world," trying to make it sound as if that light is Jesus exclusively. It's not. We are all lights of God and we are told not to hide our light under a bushel basket, but to let it shine so that all the world may see.

But this is not a Bible thread.

I fail to see any problem with showing people how powerful they are when they let God and God's universal law work in their lives. I see nothing wrong with simply reminding people that they can always choose and where we focus our energy is where our results show up. If you don't like what's going on in your life, choose again. If you don't like your results, choose again. This si nothing more than how to make conscious rather than unconscious use of the Law.

The problem is that if you believe the Bible, you should believe the whole truth not just the verses you agree with. The verses I quoted you are not my interpretation of the Bible, they are verses that go against name-it, claim-it thinking. You see, I believe the whole Bible.

Poverty does not automatically confer greater spirituality nor does wealth mean God loves you more and always answers your prayers.

'Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth.'
'You can't serve God and mammon.'
'Take no thought for your life.'
'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.'

Those were words spoken by Jesus in the books of Matthew and Luke. If you were supposed to concentrate your thoughts creating wealth in your mind, why would Jesus tell you not to concern your mind with possessions or store up treasures on earth. If you believe in the Bible, how do you reconcile that. Either God is right or your theory is right.

You can't serve both God's truth and man's theories.

God wants to prosper us spiritually as well as physically and His way will lead to abundant life in this life here and now and in the life hereafter.

As I said before, you do not really understand what you claim to understand or you would not be telling others to follow. Many have gone your way over the ages for wide is the path that leads to destruction. When you accept any theory over God's Word, the whole of His Word, not just the carefully selected parts you agree with, you are travelling down a very dangerous path. I will continue to pray that God shows you the truth before it is too late.

Since this is not a Bible thread I will end it here.

The problem is that if you believe the Bible, you should believe the whole truth not just the verses you agree with.

There is no mandate to take everything on blind faith. One simply takles what resonates as true. There are parts of the Bible that are utterly contradictory.

The verses I quoted you are not my interpretation of the Bible

Of course they are. There are other people who rad the same verses very differently. But you believe that only your reading can be legitimate.

Either God is right or your theory is right.

It's not an either/or. God expresses as and through us, so our prosperity is God's gift, reflecting a qualityof God in our own lives.

As I said before, you do not really understand what you claim to understand or you would not be telling others to follow.

You don't even see the utter arrogance of that statement, do you? I understand these principles quite well. I hv studied them in some depth and for all of my life (which is getting to be quite a long while.) I have used them in my own life, seen them work in other people's lives, and helped othes to work with tehm. No harm ever came to anyone from workign these principles. In fact, these principles have made a lot of people's lives much better.

The Law of Attraction is a law of physics. It says that likes attract

Not true of electricity OR magnetism.

And for that matter, how did James Carville land his spouse?

Cheers!

If you want to know the truth about anything go to the source. Ask the Lord to show you the truth and be sincere in your request. The truth will set you free.
