Do you have any evidence that the "victims" didn't give permission? In today's lawsuit-happy country, I'd be rather shocked if they hadn't gotten a release from everyone whose face has appeared onscreen.

Yes, provided by others up-thread, if you're interested. But to me, it wouldn't matter. Those shows, movies, etc., where people make utter fools of themselves and/or are deceived and humiliated -- I guess to many they're high humor. I just have never, ever enjoyed it.
