Open Letter to John F. Kerry (vanity)

Mr. Kerry,

Well, you’ve done it again. You’ve besmirched our men and women in harms way and, in a shameless display of arrogance and unaccountability, refused to apologize, and attempted to shift the blame for your actions to others. This is a great example of the type of presidential non-leadership that you would have provided. All that was missing in your disgraceful, blame shifting press conference was a finger wagging outburst.

From the dishonest testimony before congress about Vietnam atrocities, to accusing our troops of being nocturnal terrorist in Iraq and now your latest insult to the men and women in arms, contrasted with your incessant braggadocio about your own stint in uniform, provides a clear picture into the intercrainial workings of John F. Kerry; despicable one-ups-manship at the cost of all others.

Falsely accusing our troops of atrocities in Vietnam was traitorous.

Falsely accusing our troops of terrorizing women and children in the night in Iraq was disgraceful.

But your latest bombshell, "You know, education - if you make the most of it - you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." was especially distasteful in a more personal way.

Many years ago, there was a family struggling financially. The family patriarch died younger than he should have from a stress induced heart attack.

One of his sons dropped out of school in the 8th grade in order to help provide for the struggling family. Two years later, at the age of 16, he joined the Navy as this would allow him to provide his mother with regular and more income, and, at the time, the Navy was more than glad to have him.

It just so happens, that at the time of his enlistment, the Untied States was embarking on one of it’s previous global conflicts.

His service for most of the war consisted of escort duty for the multitude of convoys crossing the North Atlantic, but later in the war when a large invasion was planned, he was stuck in another duty; machine gunner on a landing craft ferrying troops from the troop ships to where they were stuck on Omaha Beach.

He survived, and, at wars end, was honorably discharged and returned home to start a family.

Mr. Kerry, I was the first progeny of this uneducated man and am damned proud and thankful that he, and thousands of other men and women, regardless of educational background, stood in harms way and risked their lives in order to ensure that the next generation of Americans would continue to live free.

In doing so, they, and all subsequent servicemen have ensured your right to publicly denounce them, but at the age of 82, my father does not deserve the base insults that you arrogantly and frequently aim at those that have bled and died and are currently bleeding and dying to maintain our freedom.

But it is your right.

And in exercising your right, you have once again shown the world that you have no honor, that you are a disgrace to the uniform you once wore, to the Senate seat that you now hold and to the United States of America.

Sincerely,

Cowboyway

My open letter to John F. Kerry:

Yo Lurch,

Don't you ever get tired of looking in the mirror every morning and seeing two butt cheeks?

Resign you pampered, effete, elitist moron.

FU,

DW

It occurred to me that Kerry's smear of the troops from his elitist perspective isn't limited to just those currently serving in Iraq but is an a sad commentary on his view point of all troops, excluding himself, of course.
