Karl Jung (psychologist contemporary with & friend of FREUD) called this the collective universal consciousness. Rather a flow of energy that we could tap into at will or sometimes NOT at will.

I believe the 6th sense is in all people. The more scientific/reason oriented one is, the more difficult it is to tie into it. From what I have noted it can be developed & more or less obstacles for it to function well removed.

some seem to have a more natural flow of these events, situations...and have more contact with things. I get them on occasion but NOT regular & always a bit unnerving

The term foreknowledge ...like signs of happening are very prevalent. Many dismiss some of these things as coincidence.. but I don't think so myself. People often don't share these situations as they don't want to appear weird.

I think Christians MUST be careful(Bible warns us about testing the spirits).. It is easy to tap into sources which are forbidden & harmful. Satan is the person of many disguises.

When we leave this world via death we leave TIME also & so the events that are time sequential to us are no longer convinced to that & so tapping into the different dimension, if you will can & does occur.

I like to use the image of life as a train on a track. When we are alive we are one of the people in the train & see/experience what is in our car & immediate surroundings. some people(6th sense) can look out the windows & see a little more.

When we die we are above the train & see the whole thing.. what is way ahead & way behind as well as thru the walls of the train to see all..

analogy might seem strange but it is the best I could come up with to describe my interpretation
