"Another prosecutor might make the case go away, but he can't make the underlying issues go away," said Nifong. What in the hell does that mean??? Does he think he is Atticus Finch batting from the other side of the plate? Is he punishing these boys for perceived crimes committed by white society as a whole?

So how late is Nifong in releasing all this? Wasn't all the information supposed to have been released in discovery some time ago?

underlying issues?
So now we prosecute the innocent in the name of underlying issues?
The underlying issues are all about a woman who lied thru her teeth in order to protect herself from being incarcerated for breaking her probation.

Shouldn't the DA's office have given the Defense everything it has on the case, a long time ago.
What is this little game of miserly doling it out a few pages at a time, all about?

The fact tha Nifong is ahead in the polls is scary. If he can go this far out there and still win, that will be a signal to the moonbats in the justice system that as long as you stick to the party like, you're invulnerable.

Do you know what time the hearing is today? We got into Durham late last night (snowstorm in Denver made it hard to get out). We haven't had much time to get a feel for what's going on except my son came over to eat with us (at 10:30 pm) and was wearing a blue "innocent" bracelet. Good boy!
