FYI, I live with a smoker and regularly socialize with smokers. I am the rare non smoker in my group.
My disgust is with whiners and the victim mentality so prevalent in society and even on FR.

This smoking Nazi thing is a symptom of something bigger and more egregious. A segment of the population believes blindly that it has the right and the duty to correct imperfections as they see them, in the rest of society when it suits them to do so.
They do this now on the conservative side of the political spectrum, where once upon a time, this sort of crap was confined to liberals.
You sir, and some others here on this thread, are not seeing the truth of this, and attack me when I try to point it out to you.

In the mean time, keep your pious accusations to yourself, and realize that nobody wants or needs to hear them.
You hide behind freedoms that were earned by people who likely gave up their lives, yet you throw all that out the window so easily when the topic is one that you disapprove of.
Think before you jump that shark again, and understand that I will be there to point it out when you do. I will not allow you place blame on the person who's personal rights were violated by a person who had no permissions to do so. This is misdirection and a liberal tactic IMO.
It seems to me, that conservatives, if you fit that description, have adopted the same sort of holier than thou mentality as their liberal counterparts when it involves social topics, and I will fight this sort of thing to the death if necessary.
I hope I made my points clear enough for you to understand. In the interim, I will continue to wonder why a conservative governor like Mike Huckabee suddenly turned personal freedoms on it's head and signed into law a smoking ban for the entire State of Arkansas, and just how he decided this was a exception to the rule. And how others do as well....
Wonder what is next.........???? Perhaps Dog and Cat citizenship to give them human rights....Perhaps no knock search warrants to see what you might be doing wrong in the privacy of your home or bedroom..
