We will see how well this works for Oracle, They will have to add support channels for AS / ES 2.1,3,4,5 and in the future 6 (before 2.1 falls out of support). Thats an awful lot of knowledge they are not going to have in house. Having worked with Oracle support and Sun support I sure hope they are not going to be run by the same management team. My calls to oracle often start with 'we cant help you until you apply the following patches' with no regard for the fact that can break the app even worse than it might already be.

On the plus side is this '$1,199 for premium support, which includes indemnification.'. If redhat wants to stay in the game they must match that offer (indemnification) and maybe advertise their development entitlements (60$ each for updates and patches)
