When I go to the Help menu and click on “Check for Updates”, the inquiry responds with “No updates found”. I have checked to see what my current version is and I’m running 1.5.0.7 … is the 2.0 upgrade available only to a select group (I have Firefox set to advise me when a new update is available)?
I don't know if they consider 2.0 an update to version 1.5. I think the purpose of checking for updates is for minor security updates (like 1.5.0.7 compared to 1.5).
2.0 is more of an upgrade than an update.
My Firefox says the same thing: No updates found.
They may yet update the link -- I've read elsewhere that their servers are being taxed with downloads from those that who have read of its release. Just think about the millions who have not heard of the release and get a notice about a new version. They may wait a day or so until things calm down and the download demand lessens.
