As a long-suffering Falcons fan (Tommy Nobis, Harmon Wages, Norm Van Brocklin vintage) my words to my brother when Vick was drafted were, "If the Falcoons think Vick is the answer, they obviously do not understand the question."

Others have said he puts fannies in the stands and that is the name of the game.

My reply to that is that when the "L" column is continually longer than the "W" column, the seat may be sold but it ain't gonna be warm and very shortly thereafter it won't even be sold....again.

It didn't seem like that Super Bowl appearance did much to grow the fan base. Of course the fact that the team fell apart after that didn't help.

I am not a huge fan of Vick but he tenure with the team has been one of the most successful in the history of the team.
