My Aunt Lou is prolly dancin' on the rooftop.

Did Brock have one of those operations in Sweden?

That catch was definitely in the top 3 postseason catches ever. When he made that, it tore my heart out. I thought it would just about kill the Cardinals. Then I remembered Pujols' 3 run home in game 5 last year, and how Houston came back from that disappointment to win the pennant, and I knew that the Cards could pull it out anyway. What a clutch homer by Molina!

"My Aunt Lou is prolly dancin' on the rooftop."

I wish I had a video camera aimed at my husband when the Cards won. What a hoot! I told him I'd kill him if he woke the kids so it was a silent, yet hilarious victory dance. :o)

I couldn't believe Beltran was just looking at that close pitch with two strikes on him.

When Wainwright can drop that mid-70s, 12-to-6 curveball in the strike zone, after throwing mid-90s heat--well, it's unhittable. It just absolutely freezes hitters; they can't pull the trigger.

WHAT A GREAT, EXCITING GAME!!! One of the best I've seen!

I'm here in St. Louis, and this place will be rocking!

Just like clockwork, every 35 years or so... Tiger-Cardinals in the World Series.

I remember that 68 series, while stationed at Scott AFB, Ill. Still remember the gloating of a certain Airman from Detroit.

Go Cardinals!It's pay back time.

Flyover series this year.

Two years in a row--all Central Division World Series! Take THAT, coast-biased media!!!

This is what I was hoping for. A series minus the coasts!

Again!

"Now go beat those Tigers and get some respect back for the NL."

Right now, as a long time DIE-HARD Cardinal fan, I feel VERY lucky to watch them play in the 2006 WS.

Two things:

#1

PLEASE put Jason Marquis BACK on the WS roster NOW ASAP. I have no idea what Tony was thinking putting Anthony Reyes on the roster for the NLCS.

The way they have continued to talked up Reyes, I expected no less from him than to have the Cardinals close ALL the food concessions before he pitched in Game 4, so he could feed the WHOLE stadium with a loaf of bread and a couple of fish before the game started.

IMHO, Reyes is and has been, TOTALLY overrated!! After his NLCS "appearance" in Game 4, the Cards won't be able to get ANYONE to trade for him NOW.

The only reason there won't be a lynch mob waiting for the team plane to land with Tony on it in St. Louis, is Jeff Suppan. He deserves the 2006 NLCS MVP award.

We need Marquis on the WS roster, plus he can HIT, so it's another bat on the bench as well.

#2 ....right now I wish I could "thank" Trevor Hoffman for the Cardinals having to play the series without home field advantage.....

It should be a GREAT series with the Tigers, and I won't feel too bad if they beat the Cards. It would be a fitting end to their 2006 outstanding season.

Not really a big MLB fan, but have always had a soft spot for the Mets. Don't know why, as I detest the Yankees. Also like the Cards too, as a good friend of mine is a die hard Card fan. Sort of rooting for the Mets in this series, but I'll be glad to see the Cards win.

I don't think Detroit is the shoe in everyone else seems to think they are. St. Louis is good enough to get this thing to 7, and anything can happen then.

Couldn't agree more. Too bad it had to end. The Cards have a lot of heart and should make the series exciting.

I saw so many Mets fans praying watching the game. I didn't know NY was so faithful. There must be some baseball god I don't know about.

Wouldn't do 'em any good. The other team was full of cardinals!

Ba-da-bump. :)
