"It will be fun watching Leyland and LaRussa go at it, two of the best"From Leyland's bio: "Served as Tony LaRussa's third base coach for four seasons (1982-85) with the Chicago White Sox before being named the 33rd manager in Pirates history on November 20, 1985...managed two games for the White Sox while LaRussa was suspended in 1985, winning the first game and losing the second..."
Makes me proud to be a WhiteSox fan...I'm gonna go cry now...

Ahem.......
I attended the '65 series with my Mom.
;-)

If this series is anything close to the 1968 Series, it's going to be a good one.
I still think that the 68 Series was the best ever, and not just because the Tigers won it.

Hello,
I don't remember the '68 series, but know that there are two fine teams heading into this one. Should be fun!
Glad to be here, MOgirl

Hillary looses.Cherish the thought.

This one is a few years old. It's in the old stadium.
Pretty cool to christen the new stadium with a World Series the first year.

You just wait... Google is still searching... But I'll find that picture of a cardinal scratching the eyes out of a tiger.

Funny thing. In the past we have always been expected to win. We have had lots of rest, and ended up rusty. The teams we played were coming in on a high and beat us.
Not saying this will happen, we have lots of injuries. Just don't count us out.
How Cow!! What a game!!! Cards win!!!
Mets played a good series.

Let's hope for the same result as in 1934.

As far as typing with arthritis, voice recognition software, spell check too, lol.

Yuck!! We will throw her back.
I did read that Clinton was a visitor in the clubhouse a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking it wasn't a love fest 'cause it was briefly mentioned.
