The charges against the Duke lacrosse players should be dropped immediately, and the people demanding the dismissal the loudest and most forcefully should be the very people who have made a living allegedly fighting against racial injustice.
I've said this before, but it's worth saying again: Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should be in Durham, N.C., today, promising civil disobedience until the charges are dropped and prosecutor Mike Nifong resigns.
Ed Bradley and "60 Minutes" should never be mistaken for Thurgood Marshall and the Supreme Court. Bradley is just a TV reporter and "60 Minutes" is just a TV show, but you couldn't help but be moved by the story they aired Sunday night about the Duke lacrosse rape allegations.
The three accused players gave their first interviews, and two of them claimed they had airtight, documented alibis. The accuser's one-night sidekick, Kim Roberts, seems to have settled on telling the truth rather than trying to spin the story for fame or money. She contradicted several of the statements the accuser gave to police.

"She wanted to take me to Raleigh and drop me off. But I told [name redacted] to take me home. She said that she would call the police. She took me to the Kroger on Hillsborough Rd. to call the police. She tried to get me out of the car before the police arrived, but I was afraid to get out. When the police came, she pulled me back into the car, and the police took me to the hospital from Kroger parking lot."
It's interesting that Crystal remembers so much, but forgets key things. She was taken to Durham Access first, of course. You'd think she'd remember that....
I actually believe the part about Kim trying to remove Crystal from the car so she could clear out of there.

What do you think?
Well, the question is: did the laxers with their feet next to the white shoe move them? It's hard to know what the cropped 12:03:57 picture represents since there's no larger context. In that case all it means is that they left for the bathroom after 12:03:57 which would compress the time they spent in the bathroom the first time. Didn't the 60 Minutes broadcast have an actual picture where it was clear that the dancers were leaving for the bathroom. Can you see the shoe in that picture?
You know, I keep seeing this characterized as a wild out-of-control party by a bunch of guys who've been drinking all day. I've BEEN to parties with guys who are wild and out-of-control and have been drinking all day (just not lately) and this doesn't look like one of those.
From the pictures I have seen, I have to agree.
Yes, the pic of the strippers leaving the room is not where the photo labeled 12:03:57 is from. Either the times are wrong or the photos are mislabeled/mischaracterized.
Here is the still of the strippers by the door and leaving. The shoe closeup does not match.

The shoe closeup is taken from this photo, with Kim bending over a prone Crystal.

12:03:57 a.m. The dancers by the door. The accuser's right shoe is on the floor. The men in the room are sitting.
Shoe closeup and typical description for comparison.
I agree. That would mean that the description of the cropped photo of the shoe is premature. So this would have them leaving for the bathroom later than 12:03:57 a.m.
So we don't have a time stamp for this one which is the dancers leaving

Practical consequences are...?
Cash doesn't want to tell people how to vote and he still wants both sides of this BS story told. There is no getting through to Cash.
Well, I guess the actual time stamps are correct, and it is just NBC that has mislabeled their photo and not the defense.
If the pic of Kim bent over Crystal was taken at 12:03:57, how long do you think it took to get Crystal to stand up and leave?
If Crystal is loopy and lethargic, it could easily have taken 2 minutes to get her off the floor, making the "leaving" pic more helpful to the players. Crystal did not want to stop the show. She might have been stubborn.
I am also hoping there is a photo of Reade on his phone at 12:05.
This is just something that I'd like straightened out.
I'll chew on it until something meatier comes out.
She was not rape, and why would she not go back to the pole?
It's her job, this is what she does.
Why would she stop?
More fair than the rest of the cowards isn't very impressive to me.
Is flexeril addictive? I thought about that possibility since it is typical of a prescription drug addict to go to te hospital complaining of pain and keep getting mor eof the drugs they need. We have all focused on falsely claiming "rape" to keep out of the clink--which is true. Could be that a reason she has never recanted is that it is an easy way to keep getting her drugs. Food for thought.
Well, I would think a normal person would not want to be seen stripping if they were faking having just been brutally beaten and gang raped.
The fact that she doesn't care about about being seen stripping seems odd to me.
