Just looked at it yes the rings you have are what we call radiant rings we have had 3 cookers like that.
I am not sure what the pros and cons of 3/4 type of electric rings (hot plates) are.
I have had had all types the last cooker being the solid type with red hot spots in the middle.
What are the rounds things on the column which I presume contain the water pipes.
