The problem with you social conservatives, is that you cause more problems then you know because of your inability to accept certain facts about human nature and you think that by demonetizing it, and calling it dirty, that you somehow control it, when the reality is just the opposite.
The U.S. has a much higher rate of sex crime then any other modern democracy, and there is a glaring reason for it.
Even now, the unintended consequences of your actions threaten the lives of many children who previously lived through their experiences.
Sure, there are morally defective people in our society, but we create them by the hundreds. Not by the availability of porn and the like, but by the social pressures and the way it is aggressively handled by being branded and scarred for life for a thought at a early age.
Those countries who allow some social freedoms in this area have few problems as a direct result, and that just the facts of it. Face the facts!
I don't give a hoot what you think of porn, or anything else, but when you dive into the issue like a bull in a china shop with invectives and rash judgments, you become the problem.
Not the solution.
Think what you like about me.....I doubt God likes PORNO.
Since you hate the US so much why not move to one of those porn child sex ring loving countries!
Those countries you site also allow child prostitution or don't do anything about it.
Your claims to causal factors in sexual deviancy is utter nonsense - either you are misinformed or you lie. For example, when Sweden became more liberal regarding sex, the deviancy rates increased - admittedly merely a correlation.
A couple of comments:
1. I'll say to you about that what I said to Hildy:
Civilization got on just fine without any significant distribution of porn for thousands of years. You're looking at one of the downsides of the information age and extrapolating it to be an integral part of the human nature. Morally bankrupt and intellectually sloppy.
2. I would add that even if porn were a good thing, it is not necessarily related to human nature any more than polyester. Thinking that it is definitely requires some sort of logical fallacy, perhaps the fallacy of presentism, or of extrapolating your own preferences to all humans.
3. If we use your logic, we shouldn't outlaw anything. Or we should emulate all the other modern democracies and severely restrict gun use, since our rate of violence is so much higher than theirs and they all make it hard to own a gun? Ready to give up your 2nd Amendment rights to back up your assertions?

Oh my, please spare us the neo-Freudian pop-psych.

Once again "Freedom for me and none for thee." You pretend to speak on the nature of freedom but you can't even figure out that the post that started all this was an invitation for Suzy to comment? Wow, somebody said "I like porn in my marriage," she said "Wow, that's bad" and you call that "a bull in a china shop?" Can you even read? They have volunteers who can teach you.
**Sure, there are morally defective people in our society, but we create them by the hundreds**
Yeah cuz it's not like people are responsible for their OWN actions.
