Comrades Open Windows to Linux

Linux or open source seems to thrive wherever Left governments rule. And as Kerala schools log Microsoft out and boot open source systems, Linux world is buzzing with excitement over possibilities in the communist-ruled states. Though West Bengal and Tripura have to go whole hog to adopt a free software model, ideological closeness is more than evident. Kerala, most insiders’ feel, is turning out to be Richard Stallman's happiest hunting ground. His personal vibes with Velikakathu Sankaran Achuthanandan, even from VS's pre-chief minister era, are in play. It’s a picture watching the duo cozying together in a similar attire — Stallman in a crumbled white T-shirt and VS in homely sleeveless white banian. Secretly, people do wonder what Class VII drop-out Marxist patriarch chitchats with whiz-kid of the Red Hat business-model. However, those who attended a Stallman seminar on FOSS, could clearly see that Linux and Left are on the same wavelength.

OpenSolaris is beta software. They don't get the real versions like you would obviously prefer.

Very sad weaseling. OpenSolaris, with all its technology so far (even in the beta), is out there. And it will be improved, and those improvements will be out there, too. Foreigners can get it just as easily as GPL software.

The basic problem with your "tech to foreigners" argument is that you apply it only to GPL software, but not to software under other licenses you approve of that allow the exact same thing.

Because as the article clearly articulates, the communists are all running Linux, and leftist GPL creator Stallman is their chief enabler. While you endlessly try every possible diversion known to man, you ignore the basic simple facts of the situation.

Well, its been awhile since I last installed Linux, but I didn't see the option for "Nuclear Testing and Design" software during the install.

You must not be using the latest Fedora. I've got that "Nuclear Testing and Design" app running right now. Designing nuclear weapons for fun and profit is the latest thing!

The brass buzzard is such a tiresome troll.

LOL! I'm running FC5. Is that app in FC6, or in one of the repos available?

You're right though--our RT does get monotonous. Why he thinks the GPL is any worse than the BSD is beyond me, as they essentially allow the same things, though the BSD promises no legal issues if you neglect the credits.

Linux is run by a Finnish expatriate working in America, who disliked that his dad was a communist, and who publicly expressed many times his opposition to Stallman's philosophical stance on software. Second in power to him and his delegates are the American corporations who are profiting from Linux.

Here's from the article:

The Left thinks that existing copyright laws are against the creation of a more equitable distribution

The writer of this article is an idiot, so of course you believe him. The GPL couldn't exist without those very same copyright laws, so it needs them just as much as does proprietary software.

While you endlessly try every possible diversion known to man

Man, you are good. Your very own diversion just worked. You ran away from the issue of your conflicting views faster than if Stallman was chasing you with his dick sticking out, yelling "Heeeere, little brown chicken..."

Free Republic uses Linux, ergo, Linux is irrevocably linked with the Conservative movement in the U.S.

Hey, it's the same logic you're using, right?

LOL

Actually I've long recommended Sun Solaris or to a lesser extent Apple OSX if you don't like or want Windows.

Yes, and in previous posts, you've also recommended CDE over Gnome/KDE because the latter are evil freeware! hahahahaha.... I'm sure that really goes over well with your "clients".

hahahahahahahahahaha

Can we release a BrassBuzzard Linux distro? It'll filter all http traffic, removing any reference to Linux, the GPL or Stallman, and every icon will be a photo of Bill Gates.

And just so he's comfortable, it'll run in root, have a bunch of unnecessary processes running (to emulate AV/antispyware/etc), randomly crash for him, and download and install viruses and worms from a repository.

Does this mean that me running Linux equates with espousing communism?

No, for the same reason that eating bread doesn't make one espouse communism simply because the commies made bread. Requiring that the bread be free is what makes one a commie.

And just so he's comfortable,...

Don't forget to charge $500/seat. That way it's not eeeevil freeware being given away for free to foreigners.

Man, this is great...

Who would have known that I got my "Nuclear Testing and Design" software for free with SuSE...8^)

But the best part is that one doesn't have to take NucE to understand it...

WARNING!!!

Do not build nuclear weapons designed with

NT&D version 1.4.9.

Unpredictable results (such as premature detonation) may occur due to a bug in the critical mass calculation table.

Please upgrade to version 1.4.10 before attempting to build your nuclear weapon.

Uh-oh. I'm on that version. I hope you guys aren't anywhere around the East coast; otherwise, break out the lead underwear.

Damn computers. This is just as bad as when my bio-engineered frog ate Philadelphia because of the Pentium FDIV bug.

Don't worry. If you reach the particular point of the build process where the bug surfaces, you'll never know it.

Of course, I also have 1.4.10 installed aside if necessary.
