In the short run, yes: China is a huge concern. One of the biggest concerns is whether the current sort-of-communist government will fall apart peacefully or not. If "not", the resultant civil war will have global effects.

Off hand, I'd say that it doesn't seem to be diluting the radicalism. Quite the contrary. Note, for example, the annual stories of "Ramadan Rioting" ... in western Europe.

It seems to increase it. As they have more people, each has less. That makes them restive, as it does everywhere, which the Mad Mullahs and Angry Ayatollahs take advantage of, and feed.
