Don't watch a lot of baseball do you?

I think we'd take him back if we didn't have an enthusiastic young Cuban vacuum cleaner at SS and Adrian Beltre entrenched at 3B.
Just what did he do to piss off everyone? I don't get it.

I watch a little too much, actually.
Girardi is overrated, I don't care if his team had the price tag of the used underwear section at a Mexican swap meet.
In any event: congratulations to the Tigers AND the Mets!

I don't want that A-hole back in this city. He burned his bridges here. Send him somewhere else. We need pitching.

Joe Girardi very well might win NL manager of the year.I think you're probably correct, but what's interesting is that many of the young guns that did so well would have never been on the roster if he hadn't been forced to keep and play them by the GM.

Everybody left the Marlins for dead at the beginning of the season. They lost their best starting pitcher, and had three rookies starting in the infield. ESPN
expected them to lose over 100 games.
Giving the award to Girardi has nothing to do with self esteem - it has to do with making a team play much better than expected. That's what the award is usually given for.

Except for the Cubs and Indians and other perennial losing teams, they are all mercenarie (sp?) teams. Cant make money if you cant win and it is all about money!

I guess the A's don't merit.

I'd like to see Lou, Griffey, or Piniella back here, myself. No hard feelings. Those were some good times.

Ooops. Forgot to throw in A-Rod, but he'd have to DH.

The most mercenary team in baseball is the Red Sox. And their DH trashes his own team.
To: conservative in nyc
Yawn. Tell that to the Girardi groupies at ESPN.
The best he deserves is an "Honorable Mention" ribbon.

Do you REALLY want GayRod the choker on your team? What they say about A-Rod they said about Bonds. Bonds, after disappearing in the playoffs when he was in Pittsburgh, came up big in 2002 for the Giants. It's not his fault they lost the Series in seven. BTW, I have never heard or read anything credible suggesting Rodriguez is a homosexual.
